Dentist Dr Statila Pyke moved from Norway to Australia in 2004. She settled immediately in Coogee, loving the gorgeous, family-orientated, relaxed community feeling with proximity to the beach and an easygoing way of life. Bright Smile Dental Coogee opened in 2010 and is a full-service dental practice that serves many parts of Sydney's eastern suburbs.

To prepare for his career in dentistry, Andrew earned a Bachelor of Dentistry (Hons) from The University of Sydney. To stay abreast of the latest in the field, he has taken numerous continuing education courses covering topics such as implants, orthodontics, veneers, teeth whitening and root canals.
At Bright Smile Dental Coogee we offer a cosy, peaceful space with a warm, friendly atmosphere that helps you feel relaxed. My wife and I have had all our dental work done by Statilla for over 20 years.Bridges,crowns,fillings,hygiene needs etc Cannot recommend her expertise and professionalism highly enough.Three years ago Statilla found an irregularity under my tongue.At her insistence and despite my GP and a specialist finding no irregularity I had scans that confirmed I had tongue cancer.The surgeon advised me it was caught just before it would have been inoperable.How many people can say their dentist saved their life?

When I finally convinced myself that it was time to straighten my teeth it was not an easy road. One part being trust that I was getting the best care, the second was that I wouldn't be sacrificing a house deposit in order to do it. I obviously looked online and saw there were very cheap options out there but trust of a professional is so important to me I didn't want an online experience. I went to 4

Highly recommend Bright Smile Dentist in Coogee. It was quick and easy to get an appointment. I had my wisdom tooth taken out and was extremely nervous. They team put me at ease and were extremely helpful and professional. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends when they need a good dentist.

Wow, amazing service. Andrew took out my 4 wisdom teeth within an hour, pain free. Very attentive and caring and was always checking in throughout the procedure to make sure I was comfortable. TV screen on the ceiling to watch something while he takes out your teeth. Great price too, very competitive when comparing to other dentists. Thanks Andrew!

Best dental practice I've visited by a long mile! I've had service here four times, and every single visit has been a breeze. Simply email or call to set up an appointment, they will send you reminder texts, and all you need to do is show up and they'll handle the rest. Peggy at front desk is amazing and friendly, treats you with courtesy and attends to you promptly. Dr. Andrew is also an amazing dentist - puts me at ease and tells me what is about to happen before it happens. He is highly skilled and talented at what he does. So need dental work? Visit this practice. You won't regret it!!
