The mother's body experiences many changes throughout pregnancy due to innate hormonal and physical changes. In addition, the baby's growth equates to extra weight for the mother to carry. These changes cause body ligament laxity and an altered sense of gravity, which means extra stress on the body.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes self healing, and is based upon the unseen "life force energy" that flows through all of us and is what gives us life. It is believed that if our "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick, feel fatigued/run down or stressed.
Chiropractic is covered by most private health insurance companies (please check with your individual fund). We have HICAPS, meaning (for most health funds), we can process your chiropractic private health insurance claims when you pay for your visit (you only need to pay the gap). You may be able to claim 5 chiropractic adjustments on Medicare with a referral from your doctor.

Shalom was pleasant but for each of two separate appointments I waited more than 40 minutes past my appointment time to be seen, with no apology each time. When I got in there, Shalom had 3 other people on separate tables and jumped from one patient to the other quite quickly. When he got to me he was not present at all and seemed to be thinking about the previous patient. I felt a little unsafe considering he was adjusting my neck. When I raised all these concerns with the receptionist I was told to go elsewhere for chiropractic. I would not recommend this service to anyone.
