Dr Jamie Galbraith started Symmetry Orthodontics believing that the best orthodontic results come from a knowledgeable and caring orthodontic team. We are based on the Sunshine Coast and operate in a relaxed and welcoming environment with perfect views of Alexandra Headlands beach. The practice prides itself on its use of the latest materials and orthodontic research to guide its techniques, in a peaceful and modern environment.
We believe in the importance of a relaxed and welcoming environment for our patients and feel that the highest quality outcome from treatment will stem from a team approach where the patient feels involved and comfortable. In fact, some of our staff are either past or current patients themselves, and they not only have an understanding of the mechanics of orthodontics but also the emotional aspect to starting treatment.
Symmetry Orthodontics will tailor the treatment plan to suit your requirements and achieve the very best results for you. When you first walk into our practice you will be greeted by our treatment coordinator and we will explain everything we do before beginning. Dr Galbraith will then perform an examination and take images of your teeth to record the future progress of treatment.
They provide a wide range of treatment options to straighten crooked teeth, fix bad bites and align the jaws correctly. Registered orthodontists have two to three years of full time university training in addition to their dentistry training so they are the best-qualified people to diagnose and treat dental, jaw alignment and growth issues.
The examination will check the child's development of the dentition within the jaws and potential growth pattern to be expected. Or can improve the situation sufficiently to simplify orthodontic treatment later when the child is in their teenage years. Why 7 years old? This is because the first adult molars usually erupt at this age and the bite of the back teeth is established.

Jamie and his team know there teeth!!! Jaime went above and beyond to help my daughter and myself. We moved interstate...we asked to be transferred to another "orthodontics surgery" for easier access...nope did not have the same enthusiasm or feel that Jamie's surgery had. We traveled every six weeks over 600kms to visit symmetry orthodontics to get the right treatment for our daughter. Well worth all the travel...plus who could not resist the view in the dentist chair of the rolling waves of Alexandra Headlands!! ( And Jaime of course 🤣😂) thank you all so much for all your help with Sunny

Thank you to Jamie and all the team at Symmetry. Our son needed some specialised work done, and his new smile says it all. He's thrilled! Highly recommended for a great experience, with a kind and professional team, in a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, and even looking out to the surf at Alexandra Headlands throughout. Brilliant!
