Our program is developed using The Early Years Learning Framework: Belonging, Being, Becoming. Lismore Preschool Incorporated is licensed for 54 children each day, aged from 3 years to school age. As a not-for-profit community based preschool, we are overseen by the Management Committee, comprising volunteer preschool parents and community members who meet regularly throughout the year with the Director responsible for the day to day management of the service and reporting to the management committee.
Services
Lismore Preschool acknowledges the people of the Bundjalung Nation and the local Widjabul Wiyabal people as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, play and learn. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future and honour their knowledge, culture and deep connection to country.
At Lismore Preschool we aim to provide a supported and secure environment where children are viewed as capable, competent individuals who are actively involved in constructing their own learning. We seek to embed sustainable and equitable best practice within all experiences and interactions, supporting shared thinking, social justice, inclusion, and reflective practice built around our relationships and connectedness to country.
We are now taking enquiries regarding enrolments for 2022. Administration will contact families to advise of available openings as they occur. Feel free to call the Preschool on 02 66215428 if you have any questions. Enrolment Fee:$40 is payable at enrolment. Includes a printed preschool t-shirt, hat, a dinosaur cloth bag and membership to the preschool association.
The NSW the Department of Education and Communities (DEC) is our Regulatory Authority responsible for the approval, monitoring and quality assessment of services in accordance with the national legislative framework. The management committee (usually elected from the parent body) is referred to as the "Approved Provider" under the Regulations.
The preschool program is developed using The Early Years Learning Framework: Belonging, Being, Becoming, Australia's first national framework for early childhood education. Elements of the Framework include clear guidelines on best practice and clear principles that see the child as an active and involved learner.
