Our preschool provides a welcoming environment within a natural setting. We are committed to providing a holistic and rich programme that is informed by modern pedagogy. We view Children's happiness, contentment and joy within our preschool setting as a major importance. Our staff make the preschool feel like a family; warm, caring and personal.
The setting is in the middle of a rain forest with access to the creek and vegetable garden, allowing us to incorporate the environment into our programme. We have a large, beautiful outdoor area, including a bike track, tree house, undercover sandpit, mudpit and water feature. Our program provides a broad range of individual and groups experiences within a play-based emergent curriculum.

Services
Tuntable Falls Preschool originally opened in 1979, it has been nurturing children and families in the stunning natural environment on community lands surrounded by the Nightcap National Park ever since. In 2014 we achieved 'Exceeding', the highest possible accreditation, in the National Quality Standard from ACEQUA and have maintained it since.
Tuntable Falls Early Childhood Centre is an evolving environment where the central focus is the care and respect of children. Our main objective is to provide a positive atmosphere that promotes each child's individual growth and development.
In regards to our Pedagogy, we combine the best of past and present ideas about Early Childhood Education and are particularly influenced by the pedagogical understandings of Malaguzzi, Bruner, Montessori and Steiner.These theories combined with our conscious observations, and those of our families and greater community, mean Tuntable Falls Early Childhood Centre can offer a unique and responsive preschool environment.

We have a lovely mix of extended, open-ended, child led play-based programmes and age appropriate, structured group activities. Treefort - including climbing wall, monkey bars, slide and, in rotation, slacklines, trapeze, tissue and hammocks. In addition to these we also regularly have interesting visitors such as artists, musicians, dancers, the local Fire Brigade, and even the 'snake man' to teach us about snake safety.
Maree has a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and has been running our Preschool for 10 years. She has taught Children's Services at TAFEs around the country and has extensive experience in the industry. Maree is passionate about quality education and care for children and keeps the Preschool running to an incredibly high standard.
When we first arrived at Tuntable Falls Preschool some 18 months ago, I couldn't quite believe where we had landed. As part of our play- based curriculum, we include regular visits to our shallow creek that is located very close to our preschool.
