My name is Pete Battye and I'm an AIPP accredited professional photographer with over 25 years experience servicing all areas of the South West region including Margaret River, Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Augusta, Perth and beyond.

My passion for photography grew throughout my high school years, which lead to an eight-year career as a photographer in the Royal Australian Air Force. I was extremely fortunate to learn my craft in an environment that called for and demanded perfection. At the same time I sought to nurture my artistic flare.
My goal is to photograph your wedding day in its entirety, providing you with timeless images that will showcase your wedding as the most enjoyable day of your life. My aim is to do this in a relaxed, fun, genuine and unobtrusive manner, whilst ensuring that all of the images are as natural as possible.
Anybody can take a photo, but not everyone can take portrait photos that capture the essence of the moment, and this is why portraits are so much more than just "smiling for the camera". Real, true-life portraits need to tell a story. The photographs should relay who the person is, and show their true selves.
I've been loving getting to know my drone and taking it all over WA over the past few years. Drones have been a real game changer in regards to photos and video, and aerial imagery has never been so easily accessible. I worked for 8 years as a photographer in the Royal Australian Airforce and spent countless hours shooting out of helicopters, small planes and fast jets.
It's a clich, but a picture really is worth a thousand words. Or, in the case of property, impressive real estate photography could be worth its weight in.revenue! It is proven that the first thing people do when looking for properties to buy on these real estate sales websites is to look at the properties' photos first, and if the photos do not show the house in it's best possible light they will move on to other homes to view instead.

Pete provided the perfect atmosphere for my family (of 24) to relax and enjoy the Family Photo experience. We all had a fantastic time. Working with Pete at Real Image Photography was an absolute pleasure. I currently live in Brisbane and wanted some photos of Indjidup WA for a special occasion. Pete shared some of his exisiting personal work with me, and not finding exactly what I wanted he took a detailed brief and provided loads of great advice as to what was going to get the best outcome for the photos I wanted. Pete provided a large range of high quality photos which included some amazing aerial shots taken with his drone, and turned the project around really quickly. Could not recommend Real Image Photography enough! Pete is fun, professional, accomodating & most of all an amazing photographer. He was able to capture our beautiful family and was able to get everyone, even our toddler, to cooperate.
