With an extensive knowledge of making and recrafting shoes, Baxter & Black delivers the Best men's shoe repair in Sydney. Email or message us some photos, and we will ring you to discuss the best tailored solution for you. Once you have agreed on a service, you can post it in, or we can arrange pick up from your address.
When you've got some serious wonk in your RM's, come in to Baxter & Black for a RM Williams JR leather resole, replacement heel and re-last. Not only did Baxter & Black do an RM Williams rubber resole and heel replacement, we also breathed new life into the much-loved boots. Suede is a very difficult leather to work with, but Baxter & Black showed what they could do with this suede RM Williams rubber resole and restoration.

Sent my Gucci and LV belt to Baxter & Black to have extra holes added. Not only did they match the size perfectly, they also painted the inside of the new holes to match the original. If you live in Sydney and you need a cobbler, Baxter & Black is where it’s at.
I had travelled out to Newtown from western Sydney -pre lockdown- and dropped off a pair of treasured tabis to have the soles and heels protected, and I had every intention of picking them up but due to harshen lockdowns rules I was unable to. However, Nathan was able to organise swift home delivery! It was great to have my boots posted to me all shiny and fresh.
The quality of work is top tier! Tabis require a custom sole and the guys have very careful crafted on sole protectors so seamlessly, even Margiela would

I cannot recommend Baxter and Black highly enough. We had taken my mother’s vintage croc wallet to a few places to get repaired and was told it was too hard.
I really had hoped there would be an artisan out there who would see the beauty in the wallet and take it on as a loving project and be able to understand the sentimental value of the piece.
I googled cobbler Sydney and up came Baxter and Black. We took the wallet to the store in Newtown where we met Nathan and everything I had hoped for unfolded. Even above and beyond. He took the project on with amazing insight and problem solving ability

I have had Nathan resole several pairs of custom orthotic shoes over the past few Yrs. He is always very professional & his quality of work is exemplary. He is more than Willing to work with the customer to come to solutions for issues & I have always been very happy with his entire service. I cannot recommend him too highly.

So disappointed with the work. I brought in two pair of leather shoes and asked if they could be restored. They took them, charged me and then did an extremely basic job. When I questioned the results they were extremely rude and condescending. I took my shoes here based on the great reviews but unfortunately my experience and the results were the exact opposite.

I am extremely satisfied with the work done on my new Crockett and Jones Lindrick boots at Baxter and Black.
I ended up deciding to get sole protectors and lulu toe plates installed for the versatility around the unpredictability of our Australian climate. Very satisfied with the finished product; particularly the little details like the curve end to the sole protector piece to match the contour of the outsole.
I should also note that I’m based in Brisbane and the inter-state transaction with Baxter and Black in Sydney was seamless and well-worth the additional time and postage cost. Communication
