The Bongiorno Family emigrated to Australia in 1896 from the small Island of Salina in Northern Sicily. Our family specialized in producing the desert wine famous throughout Italy "Malvasia" and also grew and traded the worlds best salted capers. After a disease of grape vines swept throughout Europe destroying most of the vines, the three brothers, Felice, Antonino, and Giovanni travelled with their families to Australia.
It was to be twenty years before Australia's first wave of Italian immigrants and our family were true pioneers contributing through establishing firstly quality fruit shops and to this day a variety of businesses which hold above all else the highest integrity in service and quality that is upholding the "Bongiorno" family name.

Amazing deli sandwiches. Ordered all of the cold ones plus a meatball parm to split among our group for lunch. They were all incredible in their own way, united by the most perfect bread. The owner spoke with us for a few minutes while we waited and was super nice. I’m certain that we’ll be back very soon!

Born and raised in north NJ for 25 years before moving down here. Flavors and quality on point.
I tried 2 sandwiches and they were great, bread a tad tough.
Rainbow cookies to die for, sfogliatelle to die for
Prosciutto bread was amazing
Ciabatta loaf a bit old, but not stale
Focaccia very good, no seasoning tho
