Paediatric Potentials is Brisbane's trusted provider of Paediatric OT. We believe that each child's learning profile is unique - every child thinks, behaves and performs differently. We acknowledge that development and skill acquisition are not always a linear process and may require more focused attention.
This is achieved through the use of wide range of evidence-based Occupational Therapy interventions and parent coaching frameworks. Your child's potential is ultimately unlocked by relating their learning goals back to something that is of value to them. They then feel motivated to achieve their goals and continue to grow.

My children are definitely excelling since attending at Paediatric Potentials. I recommend them to anyone needing an excellent OT.

In 2017 my son was diagnosed at 3 years 9 months with ASD2, Sensory issues, Speech Delay, Social Development Delay, GDD in 2017.
Thankfully our wonderful Paediatrician Dr Aaron Easterbrook referred me to Gabby Smith at Paediatric Potentials. As any worried and concerned mother does when any child is given any medical condition, I called her office… immediately to start my son's Occupational Therapy.
My son and I went to regular weekly meetings at that time and then started to increase his visits with Gabby Smith twice weekly. To say it was a struggle for my little boy to stay still in one

We had zero progress at this establishment with our daughter. The secretaries appear to have little knowledge of managing special needs children, and the occupational therapist (Belinda) was unable to make any progress with our daughter.
Given that we were paying $190 an hour, we ought have received reasonable professionalism and understanding from staff. Instead, WE WERE ASKED NOT TO ARRIVE EARLY ANYMORE, and that our daughter was not to play with anything whilst waiting for the therapist.
Asking a child to 'not play', particularly a special needs child, appears particularly odd. Additionally

My daughter has been attending OT appointments for 18 months at Paediatric Potentials and we love every second of it. All the staff are very helpful, understanding and it's obvious how much they love their jobs! Gabby and James have built an amazing team who have made it such a warm and loving family environment. Our therapist Ellen has gone above and beyond to help our family and our daughter who has made great progression. Anyone looking for an OT will not be disappointed.

Have seen a few OT's over the years for my daughter and Paediatric Potentials Occupational Therapy are the best hands down. We see Chloe and she has formed a great bond with my very stubborn daughter. The short time we have been attending sessions she has progressed immensely in tasks i couldn't get her to do . So very happy and will highly recommend this service to everyone.

Fantastic, Exceptional, Perfection are not strong enough words to describe how amazing the team at Paediatric Potentials. I have been seeing Gabby with my 4 year old for quite a while and the improvement I have seen is sensational. I cannot recommend Gabby enough. Not only is she amazing at her job but she is an amazing person and always takes the time to have a chat and really gets to know the parents as well as your child. You're a star!

My three children have been seeing Gabby for the last two years. Gabby has been the health professional that has been vital in my children being diagnosed and more recently preparing
my children for school.
During regressions Gabby took all concerns seriously, promptly documented all concerns so that I had written evidence to take to specialist appointments and regularly followed up how my child was going during this uncertain time.
Gabby provides individual therapy tailored to each child and nothing is ever too much to ask. Gabby is flexible in her approach and is absolutely amazing with children

Gabby has been seeing my son since April and I have nothing but praise for her. She’s very in tune with what my son needs and helps me to understand how I can help him. She goes above and beyond by visiting him at kindy where he struggles, while keeping in contact with me. Can’t recommend her enough!

Gabby did a wonderful job with my son who needed support to effectively translate his ideas into his writing - which can be tricky for a curious fellow who is easily distracted. The quality of his work steadily increased, as did his confidence, thanks to the practical strategies Gabby taught him and her ability to keep him on-task, combined with her patient and caring approach. Gabby explained how we could help support his learning as parents and made it a really positive experience. I can't recommend Paediatric Potentials highly enough!
