Magnet Fishing Charters was founded by Jason Farrugia & his partner Julieann DeBrincat. Both Jason and Julie come from boating and fishing families and have been hardcore anglers their whole lives. When you choose to board Magnets Fishing Charters you are taken and taught by fishermen who love nothing more than being involved in a hot bite!
We have been building the new "FV Magnet" for 14 months and we are now ready for you to join us for some awesome fishing action! Our vessel, an 8.8 m Hydrofield Tri-hull has been purpose built for sport and gamefishing and features a fully dry deck, enclosed areas for comfort and massive deck space for serious fishing action.

Long day out in bass Strait going for Bluefin Tuna. Initially there were fish in close but too many boats putting the fish down. So Jase decided to head out wide. Great decision he definitely Found us school… after school of Bluefin Busting up!! He and Sean tried Soo hard for a hookup.. Trolling, casting stick baits, poppers and slices. End of day not one hit.. Not a reel turned.. That's fishing eh?!? I Seriously recommend Jase at Magnet. Even zero fish they were very personable with us, taught us etc etc..And genuinely top Blokes. PSSS booking agsin for next week. Cheers Jase and Sean

I had my first ever fish charter on melb cup.
As a group we caught 3. I understand there's no guarantee on fishing. But the whole experience was very awful. Specially when the captain make you feel useless.imagine telling you not catching fish anyway. Telling you in front of everyone listening to him all day, mind you i do exactly what has been told.its very pathetic really, specially when it meant to be enjoying the trip. Feeling very small after the trip . I would not recommend this charter if you get treated poorly just because no fish bittng. WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT DAY BUT BY THE ACTION OF
