Importantly, the range is orientated East - West so that when you're hitting the ball in the afternoon the sun is behind you. There is nothing worse than hitting into the sun on a hot day! All of our hitting bays are undercover and fully weather protected. 20 of our tees on the lower level are fully automated and have proven to be very popular.

Our golf coaching program includes a broad selection of lesson options including individual and group lessons, clinic for beginners, ladies and juniors, and holiday programs for juniors.
The Thornleigh golf driving range facilities includes 56 floodlit hitting bays over 2 levels. 20 of the hitting bays on the ground level are equipped with full auto tee-up technology from Range Servant. All the driving range bays are fully covered ensuring that you can get your golf practice in regardless of the weather.

Ideally when you start your practice session, after loosening up and stretching for a short period, you should commence with a lofted club, working on a half to three quarter swing for a short while before moving to a full swing.

I liked the automatic ball tees, unfortunately only available on the bottom level, which is also usually full. Overall nice setup and prices are quite reasonable. Got told off for taking my bag in, which is my own fault for missing the signs, but the condescending reprimand was a bit unnecessary, where it was pointed out there was no-one else with their bags, which was after my apology. Perhaps remember you're talking to an adult, and yes, we all sometimes miss a sign now and then. I understand your frustration, because it's probably not your first time, but it was mine

Thornleigh Golf Centre is such a terrific facility. The whole team are amazing though a particular shoutout to Director of Coaching Jason Wood who makes every lesson the perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. In my twenty years of being involved in the Education industry I have seen very, very few teachers (of any subject!) who are as knowledgeable, capable and committed as Jason. I personally have probably learned more about quality teaching from Jason than from many of my university lecturers and colleagues! Trackman is an an outstanding resource but it is only as good as the teacher translating
