Install a window safety device on any openable window that is 2m or more above the outside surface beneath. Install a window safety device on any openable window where the lowest level of the window is less than 1.7m above the internal floor. Ensure your window safety device is capable of restricting the window so that a 125mm sphere can't pass through the window opening.

We had remsafe window winders installed to our windows in our apartment block as part of the new child safety laws. Less than two years later falling to pieces. We have existing winders on ground floor apartments which have been there for 15 years no problems. Contacted remsafe , without coming out to inspect the winders they said we must have wound them closed to hard!!! Steer clear of this make !! 5 years limited warranty !! Very limited !!
