Absolutely terrible experience, repeatedly, at Bake Bar. Not only have I gotten food poisoning from one of their pre-made sandwiches whilst pregnant (which was incredibly dangerous), my order is wrong every, single time I go there via Hey You. Upon calling, the rudest of staff told me there was nothing she could do about it. With amazing cafes like Man and His Monkey and St Marks nearby, I can’t see myself going / recommending Bake Bar moving forward.

Discriminated against me for not wearing a mask when I had an exemption. Staff were RUDE & female manager went out of her way to be insulting to me by saying DONT SERVE THIS GUY. Talk about UNAUSTRALIAN. Go back to hospitality school and train your staff to not be rude OWNER OF BAKE BAR. Plilus you complained to GOOGLE about my review which was pulled...

Sadly over the last 6 months I have noticed the quality of the Multigrain Sourdough become very poor...in some cases more holes than bread! Often not just in 1 slice....but tunnelling through the loaf. Perhaps the management need to run some training courses on bread baking. My extended family, have also found the same issues with the bread. We will both now look for another businness to buy our bread

The great food and alright coffee is worth going to this café for, but the thing that really lets this place down is the attitude of some of the staff who have no interest in customer service nor seem to be interested, which is not a once-off occurrence, otherwise I’d give this place at least 4 stars.
I observed a staff member roll direct a customer to using a different area, but the customer stated she couldn’t hear her over the store’s loud music and asked the staff to repeat it, but the staff member rolled her eyes at the customer when the customer followed her instructions.

Good solid bakery with a good range of different baked goods and good coffee. There are moderate prices and some queues depending on what time you get there due to its central location. Bread options are great the pastries are sometimes a lot of filo involved with not so much filling. Great members of staff really helpful and overall great place.

Bake Bar. It opened just a couple of weeks ago on Old South Head Road, Rose Bay The coffee is really lovely and the food is home made. The staff, including lady the owner are really friendly with a smile and… greeting from all their customers. it has been servicing coffee for a long time and definitely knows her stuff.Prices are reasonable and there’s plenty of room to sit in or out in the sun. The coffee shop is a lovely big open space, with a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this cafe to everyone.

This morning I had appalling service at Rose Bay. They had run out of both meals ordered so I ordered an alternative they took my order and then 15 minutes later came to tell me they had run out. Meanwhile we were brought the wrong drinks 3 times and finally after over half an hour and once we had finished our food and after complaining several times our drinks were brought to the table - along with an extra incorrect drink again. I doubt I will be returning.

Great lunch spot, and sweets to enjoy with coffee.
We come here regularly on Sunday’s for coffee and something sweet, or lunch. We take our time to read the papers and just chills.
The staff is friendly. It can get busy but if you wait a little bit, you’ll find a seat soon.
I usually buy their bread and almond croissants. The quality is really good.

Delicious food and coffee and great atmosphere. Wanted to specifically praise their customer service. I purchased a zataar stick and when I opened it at home I saw it was burnt underneath. I messaged to let… them know as this was not the high quality I was used to. What a response, they gave me a gift voucher and a bag full of tasty goodies. So unnecessary but just a reflection of a business that truly cares about their customers and their reputation. Well done Bake bar!
