Anger is a normal and natural emotion that arises in every person in appropriate circumstances. It is natural to experience feelings of anger in situations which you don't agree with, when something seems deeply wrong or unfair or issues that you believe are important are not respected as such by others.
A panic attack is an episode of intense fear and stress which usually comes over suddenly. Panic attacks can be very scary to experience. Each panic attack may only last a few minutes, however they can leave a person feeling physically and emotionally drained for some time. Panic attacks can also be embarrassing for someone to experience, especially if they occur in a public place.
Individuals who have been victims of childhood abuse can continue to suffer well passed the cessation of the abuse. Child abuse is frequently unreported by the victim as the perpetrators can often be trusted adults, the victim may feel fear of retribution of punishment or the victim may fear stigma or feel shame with being a victim of abuse.
Life is full of ups and downs, sometimes you might find yourself experiencing what seems like more of the "downs". You might find yourself becoming overwhelmed with what is happening around you and experience difficulties coping with life's stresses.

Whilst it is normal to experience short periods when things might seem more difficult, if you find they are happening more frequently and more intensely, you might be suffering from what is called depression.Depression is different to feelings of general sadness and it doesn't necessarily have a "cause" or be related to a negative event in your life.

My son is going to the Connolly Counselling Centre to see Eoin. I couldn't rate it highly enough. My son loves talking to Eoin and feels so much happier and confident. He skips out of there and feels like he can do anything.I am so grateful.
