View our custom set up monitoring and managing energy usage & temperature in a HVAC facility in Singapore LIVE using the Simple-Yet-Flexible UBIDOTS Cloud Platform. Modbus temperature sensor data is collected by the FATBOX G3 IoT Gateway and sent via WAN for our Ubidots dashboard report that you can view.
Enable bi-directional communications between your cloud solution on services such as Azure, AWS or Ubidots, and Modbus or CAN Bus devices over 4G/3G/Ethernet WAN. Our example here portrays how a message string from Azure (Powershell) can be received by the FATBOX G3 IoT Gateway and in turn get written to our Modbus device.
Enhance the value of data monitoring with timely intervention actions made with local automations or from the cloud dashboard using our Python SDK. In our live application example, we added climate controls to a HVAC facility triggered using temperature. Users are also able to override and control the system from our Ubidots cloud dashboard.
SNMPv2 (Simple Network Management Protocol version 2) integrated in our FATBOX G3 will enable the remote monitoring of gateway's operating conditions; and with the right tools even allow you to control aspects of its operation. If SNMP is accessed only via local network LAN, do not enable the 'SNMP access from WAN' setting for improved security.
