In 2012-2013 the NSW Fire Brigade attended 6,721 fire incidents in homes and commercial buildings. That's 18.41 per day. Are you absolutely sure you, your family, property and assets could survive a fire with minimal loss? The only difference between a devastating loss of life, property or your business could be having working fire safety systems.
But sadly, many people think they're okay. Their systems are old, inadequate and simply not up to the task when called upon. Fires can take hold within minutes. Flashover (where a fire moves from the original source to igniting the whole room) can be as little as 2 minutes. Rooms can reach over 1000 degrees C.

Services
Dragon Fire Services is an Australian owned and operated fire contracting company, of Welsh heritage. As a member of the Fire Protection Association Australia (FPAA) we offer a comprehensive range of fire protection solutions tailored to your specific requirements. This usually means the work does not comply with Australian Standards (AS) and Business Council of Australia Building Code Standards (BCA), leaving assets and lives at risk.
If you're unsure if your building complies with fire regulations, or your council has notified you of their intention to issue a "Fire Order" (or already have), Dragon Fire Services can tailor make a cost effective solution for you. We recommend starting with a Fire Safety Audit. If necessary we can subsequently commission a Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Australian Standard (AS) Audit report.
Building codes relating to fire safety have been significantly updated and strengthened over the years. If you have an older building, consider commissioning a BCA/AS audit and strategic fire safety report. Our Dragon Fire Engineering experts will inspect and test your building's fire protection systems.
Failure to produce an AFSS certificate on demand could see you being issued with hefty fines that start at $2,000 a week! Previously the owner or building manager could sign the AFSS, this is no longer the case as a Competent Fire Safety Practitioner (CFSP) now needs to sign the AFSS. The reason for this is that previously buildings were being certified which should not have been issued with a certificate.
If Council or Fire Brigade have issued you with a Fire Order (or notified you of their intention to issue one) don't ignore these letters. They mean business. If you ignore their requests, they will eventually issue hefty fines and order the premises be vacated. You may also find your insurance underwriter will decide to revoke your insurance cover.
