Services
Call us for no-obligation advice on the best ways to save water around your home - and we'll also tell you what won't be effective or isn't worth doing! We're often complemented on our meticulous top-quality installations. They can include sorting out the tank base, all pipework, plumbing, electrical, painting, repaving and irrigation.
If you already have a good idea of what kind of rainwater tank you need, see the list of shapes and sizes of poly and steel tanks we offer. We'll try and guide you through the choices you have and decisions you need to make using the information below. We supply all sizes and shapes of water tanks and know from experience that many people need some ideas and advice in deciding what would work best in their home.
Often insufficient room to get a large round tank round to the back of an established house. Custom-made steel slimline water tanks up to 7000L capacity with the width and length you want. Does cost significantly more for both tank and installation - around twice the price of an above-ground slimline water tank.
The best size for your home depends on how you plan to use your saved rainwater. Don't worry about whether there's enough rain to fill your tank - often the bigger problem is disposing of the excess water! Many homes unfortunately have issues during heavy rain with water pouring out of downpipes and flooding over paths or overflowing out of soakwells that are too small.
Enough rainwater can be harvested from an average house downpipe to supply a 3000L tank connected to the toilets and laundry. By 'average' we mean a downpipe from a gutter that's collecting water off 30-40 sqm of roof. A downpipe off a narrow setback roof or a porch for example isn't going to supply that much water and would be more suited to a smaller tank.

Report
I can't recommend WaterCraft enough! Gareth from WaterCraft came out and had a good discussion to learn what we wanted, and made practical suggestions about how best to achieve it, including repurposing parts of our existing set-up.
They gave us a detailed quote within a week, and a realistic assessment of when they'd be available to do the work. I didn't need to chase them down at any point (a wonder given how busy most tradies are right now), and they had great clear communication about when everything would happen.
As well as setting up our new tanks and connecting them up to the house, they
