Sleeve Gastrectomy Report

The Sleeve Gastrectomy, also known as a Gastric Sleeve, is a "restrictive" procedure that limits the amount of food you can eat. A thin vertical sleeve of stomach is created using a surgical stapler. This sleeve will typically hold between 50-150ml, which is about the size of a banana (or 1/10th of a normal stomach).

Gastric Band Report

A gastric band is a silicone device placed around the upper part of the stomach. It is a tool used to help reduce the amount of food that you are able to eat and to reduce hunger and appetite. This will help with weight loss. Once the Gastric Band is placed, a saline solution (salt water) is then injected into the port to inflate the band, causing restriction.

I am so grateful to HWLS - both to Dr Kiron Bhatia and his wonderful staff. I was bypassed 4 weeks ago, and I have had a few issues in the last week. Both times I sent an email or called HWLS, they were so quick acting that they got me in to fix my issues (not caused by Kiron, btw) the very same day. HWLS & Kiron saved my life. I had gastric sleeve surgery in 2015. I lost 60kgs. Kiron & the team were so caring. I felt supported through every part of process, even today almost 5 years later. As someone who has lost over 100kgs and has a diploma in nutrition and am a qualified personal trainer... I can tell you with all my heart that ALL weight loss surgeries are SCAMS. When I did my personal training course, I had to work in placement with people in order to pass. All the people I took on were morbidly obese. Every single one of them… had already had weight loss surgery years before. Claimed they saw results for the first year but all of them ended up putting back the weight on and some even more than before. Don't be sold this scam. This surgery deals with symptoms not causes
