After being probed with questions on our time as Snow Sports Professionals in Japan, about topics ranging from flights and accommodation to restaurants and activities, we decided to set up an online platform to share our experiences and recommendations. It wasn't long until we adapted to your needs and realised our niche and network as professionals in the Snow Sports industry with years of experience in Niseko Japan.
Niseko, Japan is a ski and snowboarding mecca for winter sport's lovers from all over the world. Infamously known for its deep, deep powder snow, the international resort is growing in terms of visitors and infrastructure each year. Laying in the shadows of Mt. Yotei- an active volcano, the Niseko luxury chalet area is full of natural beauty year round.
The region's legendary deep powder unlocks a huge array of exhilarating Niseko winter activities. In Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village and Annupuri, the possibilities are abundant, from beginner to advanced ski & snowboard lessons, exhilerating heli skiing, adventurous cat skiing or a day exploring fresh powder on a guided backcountry tour.
Niskeo lies in the South-West of Hokkaido, Japan's northern island. The closest airport is Sapporo's International New Chitose Airport, about 110km East from the Niseko Resort area. There are direct international flights from near-by Asian destinations, and many domestic flights from other parts of Japan.
The trip from Sapporo's New Chitose Airport to Niseko takes around 2-3 hours depending on winter road conditions and traffic. There are a number of ways to get to the resort, depending on your budget and priorities. Coach transfers offer a convenient airport pickup and drop-off at The Hirafu Welcome Centre.
