Breast augmentation or breast enlargement can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, enlarging your breasts and making them more proportional with the rest of your body. Implants can also be used to correct a small amount of breast sag which can occur after pregnancy and breast-feeding. There are many choices and options, which require careful planning to work out which is the best option for you.
After pregnancy and breastfeeding or simply over time, many women find that their breasts have lost shape and firmness and have begun to head south. Dr Cope can restore or improve your breasts' youthful appearance by performing a mastopexy to lift and reshape the breasts. If you have lost breast volume, a breast lift can be combined with breast augmentation.
A lot of women find that they lose breast volume after pregnancy and breast feeding, or weight loss, leaving them with drooping breasts. While a breast lift can remove the loose skin, lifting the breast and giving it a better shape, if you want to restore or increase the volume, then breast augmentation can be performed at the same time as the lift.
Fat transfer to breast is a common procedure for both cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. Until recently the main reason was to improve the cosmetic result of patients with breast implants, for problems such as irregularity and rippling which is relatively common in thin patients. Recently increasing number of patients are having small volume breast augmentation performed using fat transfer alone.
