Luke moved to the Newcastle region in 2003 taking a position at Hunter Podiatry services as a young podiatrist wanting to empower and improve the people of his community. 17 years on Luke is just as passionate about providing an optimal quality of life to patients of all walks of life.
With over 20 years clinical experience Luke has postgraduate training in running analysis and technique analysis, dry needling, shockwave therapy, tendon pathology and paediatric development and has had practical and theoretical training in the surgical correction of range of foot and ankle pathologies.Luke can be found at the Maitland clinic and splits his time between consulting patients and managing the operations of the 4 centres.

Did you know Hunter Podiatry offers online consulting? Video consults with your podiatrist are a fantastic way to manage your foot and lower-leg pain from your home. Online consultations are an efficient way for our Podiatrists to diagnose your problem, create an individualised treatment plan and work with you to get results.
Extra-corporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) uses shockwaves to reduce pain and stimulate healing. It works fantastically for the dreaded plantar heel pain or plantar fasciitis, but also other insertional tendonopathies. Usually 3-4 treatment, combined with other interventions and strengthening shows great results for nasty heel pain.
Gabby joins Hunter Podiatry Services in 2021, returning home after a year spent in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory gaining a wealth of experience as a Podiatrist. Gabby graduated in 2019 from the University of Newcastle with a desire to help people fulfil an active and healthy lifestyle. Gabby has always been involved in sports herself, so would love to get you back on your feet through management and prevention of sporting injuries.

My son Arron had lost a toenail and the new one grew back with quite a bad ingrown toenail on one side. We found Matt very efficient, professional with a great bedside manner. He did a really great job dealing with it and fixing it. He had also text Arron to see how it was going in between appointments. We highly recommend Matt at Hunter Podiatry services 😀

I had trouble with ingrown toenails and they were dealt with promptly and efficiently without recurrence of the problem. I now regularly attend the Rutherford clinic and find Jess to be really friendly and efficient. The visit goes quickly with great conversation and professional attention that leaves me and my feet feeling wonderful.
