Hello my name is Amy Koina, owner of Amy K Photography (Australia). My prime focus is on portrait and wedding photography and I love getting creative to capture memorable images. I have always been involved in the creative arts e.g. Amy K Photography operates from a small home-based studio located in Underwood, Queensland 4119 - just 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD.
All portrait and wedding collections come with professionally edited, high-resolution images which are delivered by email or on a custom USB and we also offer a range of quality products such as prints, canvases and albums which can be purchased separately. Services
Maternity sessions are best completed at around 30 to 35 weeks in your pregnancy and take place at nearby outdoor locations that include some gorgeous earthy backgrounds. Outdoor sessions are held in the afternoon sun during the 'Golden Hour' when the lighting is softer and most flattering as photographing prior to this equals harsh light, shadows and squinting - it's not pretty.
Newborns are best photographed between Day 7 to Day 11 (or at least under two weeks of age). Newborn sessions are held at my home-based studio in Underwood, located 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD.
Newborn sessions will include a combination of posing baby on a beanbag, close up shots of those little fingers and toes, a few studio setups with props as well as shooting on the Perfect Posie for some digital composites - these are images of your baby captured on a posing beanbag which are then superimposed into a digital backdrop with Photoshop (see below).Our newborn studio is cosy warm and kept very clean.

Family sessions are held at nearby park locations with some gorgeous greenery and earthy backgrounds. Outdoor sessions are held in the afternoon sun during the 'Golden Hour' when the lighting is softer and most flattering. When you book in your family session, I will provide you with an online welcome guide to help prepare you before your photoshoot, including what to wear and styling tips.
