On their annual migration, the magnificent Humpbacks travel 10,000km and generally pass within 3km of our coastline. Head offshore with us to witness the whales as they migrate past the islands of the Port Stephens-Great Lakes Marine Park. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and flocks of oceanic sea birds, and get your cameras ready to snap a photo of the Fur Seals lazing on the rocks at Cabbage Tree Island.
The dolphins are a much loved resident of this beautiful area with visitors coming from all over the world eager to catch a glimpse of them going about their daily lives. Relax in the dry bow-net, hang on tight for a ride in the boom-net, or give yourself a 'Titanic' thrill at the end of the bow sprit.
Our Marine Park is home to some incredible creatures, and we always meet a few of them on our Discovery tours. Let us introduce you to a rich and ever-changing underwater world. Enjoy a leisurely cruise onboard Imagine through the Bay, stop and visit our Bottlenose Dolphins, then head out to an offshore island.
Fingal Island is full of rich history and incredible views! You can see right across Fingal Bay and the views looking along the coastline are spectacular! Climb the spiral staircase to the top of unique Point Stephens Lighthouse - your Guide will share stories about it's origin and history as you step out onto the balcony and take in the spectacular view.
Only a couple of weeks to go before we set sail through magnificent Port Stephens heads to run a lens across whales, dolphins and seals. I've had a few people ringing me asking about the best camera gear to bring lens wise. I shoot a fixed canon 300mm 2.8 chasing whales but my 70-200 2.8 is always on the other shoulder.

We took a Marine discovery 3.5 hour trip including dolphin watch and Snorkelling at John Gould Reserve yesterday. Skipper was informative, kept us updated and informed. One of the crew - Mark was super helpful, took special care of kids during Snorkelling - which was the purpose and high point of the trip for us. We also got to see a couple of Dolphins as well.

Great experience. Lovely crew. Yummy food. Even though it was raining hard and there were no whales/dolphins in sight, we still had the best time. Would definitely recommend.

There is something magical about dolphins. The curious creatures were all around our cruise. The tour team were very knowledgeable about the dolphin, environment and history of the region. They took great care not to disturb these beautiful creatures whilst allowing us to watch them. Sailing back was a peaceful end to a glorious morning. I canโ€™t wait to go back and see the dolphins again with Imagine Cruises.

My wife and I had an awesome trip! No guarantee of sighting whales I guess but we saw well over a dozen, with some amazing breaches and tail slaps! Being on a cat, it's slightly more exposed/ adventurous than the other cruises but this is why we chose Imagine. The crew were ace: friendly and knowledgeable and we felt well looked after. If we could have foreign visitors, I'd take them here!

The most perfect day, not just the weather but we had the best cruise with Imagine Cruises and their incredible crew. Frank at the helm with excellent commentary and giving us an amazing up close experience with these beautiful creatures. Roaming crew, Mark, Jeannie and Mike shared so much knowledge of the area and the incredible history that this area has. Highly recommend, thank you for a truly beautiful day and for sharing your knowledge.

Highly recommend imagine cruises.
We went on the Moonshadow V Dolphin Discovery Cruise and throughly enjoyed it.
We departed at 3:30 and saw many dolphins.
At one moment, the dolphins were following under the boat for around 10 minutes which was very cool to see.
There is also a bar with drinks and food, with seating inside if thatโ€™s more of your thing.
We arrived back just before 5pm.
At $30 for an adult itโ€™s an absolute bargain. My only complaint is that I wished it went longer!

We spent a lot of time picking a cruise for dolphins watching and Iโ€™m glad we ended up with Imagine. Ship was pretty small so we had only 10-15 people on the board it is great not only in terms of social distancing but also we have got many more places on the boat to watch dolphins. Loved that view was clear without any windows or anything. And also net in front is nice too, you can get closer to dolphins ๐Ÿฌ
