Looking after your canvas can often be overlooked or difficult depending on where you store your boat. Here are a couple of quick ideas to help keep you canvas looking and working well. Spray zips regularly with Silicone spray, this will wash off over time so you should consider doing this after each trip.

My mate purchased a used 3.5hp tohy from this old bloke at a reasonable price. They assured him that it was working, serviced and pumping water fine. Got it home, dropped it in the barrel, no water pumping through tell tale. Checked the impeller, low and behold the impeller that was in bits, some melted to the housing, gasket tore apart with the housing. Wanted to get it on the water, didn't take it back for the 7-day return warranty and didn't want to deal with an untrustworthy business, saved myself some time by replacing the impeller, cleaning the melted rubber in the housing with a Dremel,
