We are proud to have a specialist veterinary dermatologist as part of our team at Eastside Vets; Dr Danielle Hoolahan is an expert in diagnosing and treating animal skin conditions. Speak to our professionals to ensure the comfort and happiness of your beloved pet. Atopic dermatitis, or atopy, is a common skin disease found in animals and can be compared to eczema in humans.
An endoscope will allow your veterinary doctor to visually examine your pet's lower gastrointestinal tract and respiratory tract, without the need for invasive surgery. Eastside Vets are equipped with the latest technology in our easily accessible endoscopy facility. An endoscope is either a rigid or flexible tube with an attached video camera which allows live footage to be viewed on a connected screen.
Our fully-equipped laboratory allows us to run crucial tests in-house in order to diagnose and monitor patients. This means we receive results quickly as we don't have to wait for samples to be sent away and analysed externally. This technology is essential in emergency situations. Urine testing - to detect various forms of urinary tract diseases, bladder infections and kidney diseases.

I took my Russian blue cat George to the EVES with an emergency situation and had to leave George there with the vet specialist. I was lucky that a specialist cat vet worked there. My baby boy is under 1 and I was beside myself. As for EVES staff- I cannot fault them. The nurses sent reports with photos to me every few hours; and the care of the nurses when I arrived and throughout the ordeal was both professional and compassionate. I also had time to watch the nurses with other people and I knew George was in good hands. They understood that he is my world and cared for both of us with care and

Both Dr Suzanne and Dr Liz have looked after my Chihuahua when she was sick. They took the time to explain to me their treatment plans, answer my questions and made sure I understood what was going on with my dog both times she's been there. They were both kind, efficient and professional.
Nurse Angela and Nurse Hayley both seemed genuinely caring and interested in my dog and made her visits more comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic experience! I took my dog in to be checked because she wasn't eating any food and generally had no energy. The very friendly nurse, Sarah, went through all the relevant questions and explained the process to me very clearly. She was so professional and made me feel very calm in a stressful situation. I immediately felt at ease and knew my dog was in the best hands. Luna is healthy and happy now, I am very glad I choose EVES and would recommend it to anyone to has a pet they love dearly!! Thank you!!!

I can't say enough good things about this clinic. Absolutely everyone with whom we interacted was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and caring. Our dog underwent major surgery at Eastside, followed by a week of follow up care. The initial treating veterinarian quickly identified our dog's medical problem and patiently walked us through all of our options. The surgeon, who rushed to the clinic late on a Saturday night to perform the emergency surgery, was extremely skillful and maximized our dog's chance of survival. The staff who performed our dog's follow up care provided us with consistent

We wrote this on EVES Facebook site, but also thought it important to post on Google as well to let people know of the great support we received from EVES...
We would like to thank the wonderful team at EVES for their care of our beautiful beagle Sarmsee before he passed away this week.
We needed to admit him to their care late on Saturday 22nd October after some serious issues - either a gastric blockage or a tumour (which it turned out to be) that was making him very ill. Our regular vet referred us for 24x7 support.

I can't highly recommend EVES enough. Our Pomeranian, George, has had nothing but the most outstanding service. The Vets and nurses here genuinely care, and provided kind and considerate feedback whilst George was hospitalised, even sending us email updates with photos. We felt he was in the best hands. Even now, if I have any concerns they are my first point of contact. Thank you so much.

Vets Liz and Michael were absolutely wonderful. They had genuine care about my cat who was very sick, and rang daily to tell me how he was. They were also happy to talk to me at any time about his condition, and let me come in at a late hour to see him. I can't thank them, and the nurses looking after my cat, enough. I would recommend this emergency vet clinic to anyone!

I became aware of EVES a few months ago after my dog was diagnosed with cancer and commenced treatment. My vet had recommended them in case anything should happen on a weekend when they were closed. This was very fortunate because a few Sunday's later I found myself on EVES doorstep with my dog suffering from a bladder infection. The staff were friendly professional and took great care of my furry friend including sending through his diagnosis to my own vet.
A few weeks later after a week in hospital my dog again found himself in the care of the staff at EVES. Helpful, professional and very caring

On the October long weekend we found our 10year old, usually very healthy cat suffering after a fight. He was lethargic, swollen and bleeding from his ear, neck and face. We immediately rung all our local vets and found them to be closed with EVES their recommendation for emergencies. We rung and was immediately greeted by a happy & helpful assistant on the phone. We had an appointment within 2 hrs and were greatly relieved.
From the time we meet our Vet Michael, we were confident that our cat was in good hands.
Although the appointment was delayed, it was because Michael was taking extra time

From the moment we arrived with our very sick cat, Coco, the service was caring and professional. Our cat stayed overnight for 2 days and we were regularly kept well-informed of what was happening. We were in no doubt our cat was in the hands of caring, highly competent vets.
Follow-up phone calls from EVES always occurred in a timely way and the vets spent time explaining the situation to us.
We would have no hesitation in recommending EVES to any pet lover.
