I got Nanoshield on the promise that it would block UV and prevent my furniture bleaching. Specifically the website says: "it also prevents UV bleaching to your home's most valuable items including furniture, heirlooms, artwork, photos, carpets, curtains, woodwork, books and so much more". Unfortunately, in the year and a half since I got Nanoshield, my sofa, carpets and cushions have faded badly. I have had the Nanoshield team out twice to check (and they did come promptly), but they just tell me that their meter shows complete UV blocking and the fading must be caused by something else. Had the guys out first day out of lock down they installed nano shield on all the windows on my house. I got nano shield mainly to block UV from my east facing home office. First impressions are good I don't feel like I'm being burnt every morning now.
Technician was on time even took down and re put up my interior blinds.

Ray reached out to me to see if I were still interested and he called over today to test my windows
As it turns out Rays equipment showed they were already well protected from UV and he was honest enough to say his product would improve it slightly but he felt it really wasn't worth the investment in this case. He then went on to explain some tips for me this summer to reduce my heat load.
He's a very knowledgeable guy and I'm so impressed he wasn't just out for

Both directors, Ray and Ken are knowledgeable and professional people, who will not recommend their product if they think it will not benefit you. That is a refreshing approach in this day and age.
Having elected to use their product, I was impressed with the time and effort that goes into the preparation. My apartment faces east and one of the small rooms is like an oven for 3-4 hours in the morning when the weather is hot.
Based on a demonstration by Ray, I believe the temperature in that room will be a whole lot better now.

Moved into my townhouse last January and experienced intolerable heat due to 3 very large NW facing windows across living areas. Exterior and interior blinds offered minimal prevention and large reverse A/C on 24/7 and could only push 3 m's into room. Inside temp. constantly 5 to 10 degrees hotter. Honest company, will tell you whether they think their product will help you or not, and inform you of alternative products (that aren't theirs) you could use to help your situation instead! What a refreshing difference!
For us, we basically only have 2 sun facing windows in our house, so Ray told us it wouldn't be cost effective as nanoshield does a better job at stopping heat gain as opposed to heat loss.
It definitely works for preventing heat gain, he demo's it with a UV lamp and a piece of treated and untreated glass with your hand behind it.
If they tell you it is worth it for your situation

We had Ray come to our house and present this new technology. Our request was for a solution to our west facing windows.
Our son who is 2 years old, still sleeps during the day and with his bedroom window facing west was receiving the full afternoon sun, heating his bedroom to 27 degrees on a 19 degree day.

I have recently installed Nano coating with Ray. Ray is very knowledgeable with his products and I am extremely satisfied with his explanation and demonstration. Special thanks to Cara and Soe, they have done a wonderful job. I have mine installed three weeks ago. We still have some hot days in the past few weeks and we can immediately noticed the temperature difference. Since the result is evident during hot days, I can't wait for winter to come and test out how much reduction in condensation for all floor to ceiling sliding doors.

Yesterday I had my 3 bedroom windows that get the full western late afternoon sun treated with the Cosy 24/7, & was absolutely delighted with the significant reduction of heat transfer through these windows. I love it. The team were more than considerate of my needs being less then 3 weeks post op total knee replacement.They moved big furniture for me in the living area (2 big windows have been done there as well) & removed & put back up the roller blinds on those windows.
