Whether you require care at your farm or our facility, we're equipped to serve you. Leave your horse or other large animal with us for assessment or treatment, or we'll come to you if your larger animal isn't able to travel. What started as a small clinic in 2003 has grown to a full-service hospital offering services to virtually any sized animal.
Our staff of four veterinarians each have their own interests, from equine care to exotic lizards, furry buddies to feathered friends, and we have state-of-the-art equipment to deliver the best care possible.

Services
In 2003 long-term Northern Beaches resident Dr. David Lemmon left a veterinary partnership to open his own practice. Several years later, he wanted to be able to expand to provide more services to his patients, but lacked the room to do so. Located across the road from his small clinic was what is today the Northern Beaches Veterinary Hospital.
Northern Beaches Veterinary Hospital in Rural View is a full service companion for your pet. It's our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. The services at our veterinary hospital are designed to assist routine preventive care and animal behaviour training for puppies, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care if necessary.
Open since 2010, Northern Beaches Veterinary Hospital is equipped with all the facilities needed to deliver services to a wide range of pets. Northern Beaches Vet Hospital is your one-stop shop for comprehensive veterinary care in Rural View. Our hospital houses full surgical theatre, an in-house laboratory and farm accommodation for large animals.
Our large animal facility is located about 30 minutes from Northern Beaches Vet Hospital. The David Lemmon Equine Centre, on Mirabellas Road offers short term agistment, assisted reproduction (Artificial Insemination), examination and veterinary care for horses, cattle and other large animals. At the David Lemmon Equine Centre, we combine all the comforts with the best care possible.
Dr. Dave Lemmon is particularly enthusiastic and passionate about performance horses, as he owns a few himself. He ensures each one brought in for his care is attended to with the vigilance and loving tenderness you'd expect from a fellow horse lover. He routinely travels to provide equine care throughout the Northern Beaches area, including Proserpine, Sarina, Koumala and Nebo.

Dr Jackson was so amazing in his initiative with treatment of our old gingie cat who is 17. He did more in 1 visit than a different vet clinic in Andergrove did in 5 days of hospital treatment.
Cannot thank him enough or recommend him more to anyone looking for a vet who is switched on, compassionate, honest and proactive.

It’s always such a pleasure going to see Dave and the team. I leave knowing that my dog received the best treatment from such an experienced and knowledgeable (and no beating around the bush) vet. But more than the care for my dog, I love the kindness that you receive from each member of staff - they make you feel like a regular friend that is popping in for a catch up. It’s great to see such a positive and nurturing workplace. Thank you!

We would like to thank Northern Beaches Veterinary Clinic for their professionalism and compassion dealing with our best mate’s health and well-being. Dr Jo took the time to outline all our options and provided clear information so we could make informed decisions on what is best for our mate moving forward.
Thank you

The staff here are kind and caring.
I've always been able to get an appointment rather quickly too.
They have a 'in house' cat who loves to come greet the animals in the waiting room.
A bonus is this vet hospital works with a local foster/adoption group, they provide medical services to those animals and are a drop off point for food donations.
