Was sceptical about the lunch special, especially the 4 dollar steak. Finally I took the plunge, and you know what, I wish I went earlier. Steak was great, and I discovered they have very fair priced drinks too. One of the better bloody Mary's I tried. Nice chilled vibe. Will try the snitzel next !

Good value and generous meals. Friendly staff, but not an Irish accent amongst them. But don't let that put you off, well worth a visit if you're in Surfers.

Was starting to see what is on offer whilst waiting for my wife when was advised that my wife could not enter without ID! Amazing as she is over 50 and I also on the older age group was not asked for ID. My wife offered phone cloud version of AUS passport and QLD driving licence to a "Jobs Worth" to no avail. Understand reasoning for ID but some mental logic needs to be used. So much for the Irish Charm this place says is in abundance.

We love Waxy's. Such a good feed for so little money. They do $4 steak day with any purchase of a side dish every day. So we get two stakes with chips and salad for like $14 per person. Every day!!! Service is always with a smile and quick. Thank you Waxy's for looking after our dinner almost every day 😅🙈

Best beef dip sandwich I have had in Australia. Huge portion and absolutely beautiful. In the states it was called a French dip and man it made me homesick! I will definitely be back.
3 Weeks after the first time and I went back and it was even better!!! Best value for $$'s in Surfers.

Overrated. A bit pricey for the area. Cocktails good. A bit put off by the scantily clad random in the street handing out vouchers but it's Queensland. Maybe she should wear a uniform to identify her otherwise you kinda try to ignore her. Try the Noxious Baroness. Tasty cocktail. The waiter was really nice and super friendly.

The plate itself is 17 dollars. $4 steaks, $3 chips, $3 gravy and $3 Salad. The food was good for the price, but it has gone up in price compare to 4 years ago. I miss those days of $3 steaks :)
