Jakanda is a fully Australian owned and family operated company based in the Penrith area of Sydney (Building in the Greater Western Sydney region). The owners, Terry and Michelle Becker had a view of providing customers with quality workmanship and a professional service, with this in mind, Jakanda Pty Ltd was formed.
Since Jakanda's commencement, we have constructed hundreds of projects, specialising in first floor additions, ground floor extensions and custom designed new homes and we can proudly say that around 70% of our work is repeat customers and referral work. We have loyal staff and quality trades people with an emphasis on training apprentices and bringing more trade skilled people into the workforce.

At Jakanda, we are award-winning home builders specialising in first floor additions and ground floor extensions to your home. We build custom homes and offer complete comprehensive builds from the point of design all the way to completion. Jakanda has been in operation for over 20 years and is a family-run business operating out of Penrith in Sydney.

Jakanda is a family owned building company building custom-designed new homes from Cranebrook to Penrith and Mulgoa, Mt Druitt and out to the Hawkesbury and the lower Blue Mountains. Terry has been in the building trade for 33 years and in 2017 Jakanda celebrated 20 years of providing quality new homes to people in greater Western Sydney.
Jakanda built a first floor addition to our split level home. It was an unusual job which required careful planning which they handled easily. They were flexible enough in that we were able to continue with our busy lifestyle in our home during construction. They were personal, professional and cleaned up afterwards.

We absolutely love our recent first floor addition and downstairs renovations by Jakanda. The workmanship and professionalism Terry, Jack and the boys displayed from the planning and design stage to the completed build were exceptional. The communication provided by Jack was outstanding, we always knew what trades to expect and when. And the actual build time was phenomenal! We highly recommend Jakanda!!

Jakanda has been a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. My husband and i did alot of research before we began our build and once we met with Terry we knew straight away that Jakanda was the Building Company we wanted to go with. Terry, Peter and the boys completed our 2nd floor addition with large balcony and some downstairs bathroom and kitchen work. We knew we had to use Jakanda from our very first meeting with Terry, he was down to earth and very easy to talk too. There are not enough stars to rate these boys, their work ethic, attention to detail and friendly nature make them a pleasure to work with. We are just finishing our second floor addition and bottom floor renovation with Jakanda. I am so pleased we found them. They are a reliable and honest company. You can feel the heart that has been put into the workmanship of our home. We have had people walk past and stop to say how authentic the second floor looks against our original layout that of the 1960's.
