Unfortunately the Port Bar will not be carrying on business as usual. Due to ongoing effects of ongoing development around the restaurant and Charles Street Square. Our in-house dining will remain unavailable at this stage. Our team have and will continue to provide limited take away menu service to all our valued customers along with our off site catering.
We are monitoring the situation closely and will communicate any development via our social channels. On a personal note, we hope you have been well during this time and we look forward to reconnecting in the foreseeable future. Ideally located, Port Bar offers relaxed waterside dining amongst the tree-lined riverbanks of the Parramatta River.

Decent place to hang out at by the river. Not much of a view and ambience is by no means fancy, but it has all the essentials required on a lazy sunny Sunday arvo. Staff aren't the most attentive but they're friendly. Food is pretty good. I normally enjoy some wedges and a drink or two here as a relaxing break from the busyness of Church St.

Sitting alongside the river, this restaurant is a nice change of pace from the hustle, bustle, and traffic noise of the other places along Church Street. The food is good and the service was even better. Port Bar has more wait staff and they are much more attentive than the staff of other restaurants I've tried. It was nice to actually get a refill on my water. The Tiramisu was delicious!

Great place to go for a special night out and they did not disapoint. Every meal was nicely cooked even to beauitful coffee ending the evening. Very friendly and attentive staff constantly clearing the table, keeping water topped up and maintained nice conversation even with the children. Thank you team Port Bar for a wonderful first experience. We'll be back.

Two stars, instead of one, just because its riverside location is quite appealing.
However, service is poor, kitchen is sluggish, and the final bill is far too expensive! Moreover, the chicken I ordered must have managed to run off prior to reaching my table, as my "chicken salad" had none in it.
First and last time at the PBR.

We really enjoyed it here. We came on a Sunday night about 5pm. The price was reasonable with decent portions. The staff were great and it didnt take long to receive our meals. Recommended for sure! The food tasted great! Will definitely come back again.
Only slight downside were the bathrooms as you had to walk outside then back in to get to them. But not to much of a issue.

This restaurant has a great of view of the river. It's also a good spot to people watch and contemplate the universe. I have been here for breakfast a few times and I have walked away satisfied each time. The staff are very professional and prompt in taking orders. The menu is standard modern Australian. Nothing special. The meals are large and the added extras are even BIGGER. The extras are very expensive, but they are also massive. The extras are served on seperate plates because they are so large. Prices here are on the higher side, but not unusually so. Worth stopping in. Coffee is good too
