We are qualified professionals in Erosion and Sediment control, Revegetation and Stabilization of areas particularly effected by earthworks and construction in road building, mining and major land development projects for government, residential, agricultural and sporting applications. GRASSMASTER is a Member of the International Erosion Control Association and we use premium quality products and best-practice techniques.
GRASSMASTER worked in conjunction with local landscaping contractors at the Homebush Olympic Site and Athletes Village for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Establishing a grass cover on disturbed work areas during the construction process can dramatically reduce the overall costs to the developer. Rapid development throughout New South Wales in recent years has increased the need for strict environmental regulations during the construction process.

Erosion is the process where soil particles are removed from a site by the action of water or wind. Construction projects and nature itself can create major changes to a site when the vegetative cover is removed. If left untreated, erosion problems will occur. A variety of techniques can be used to treat problems, but each site should be evaluated prior to treatment.
Hydromulching is a one step method of undertaking revegetation. Hydromulching is similar to Hydroseeding, but it includes the additional and important ingredient of mulch to the mix. The mulch acts as a cover for the seed to help retain moisture around the seed for even germination and growth, and to shield the bare ground from the impact of raindrops until the vegetative cover is established.
Areas consisting of reasonable soil types can be reseeded using conventional tractor mounted implements such as Chisel Ploughs, Dnil Seeders, Spinner Broadcasters and Harrows. First we chisel plough the area to a depth of 200mm to break compaction and allow infiltration of water.
Following chisel ploughing the seed can be placed in the seed bed by using a seed drill which drops both seed and fertiliser into a prepared furrow before re-covering the seed. This method is suitable for use in areas of good soil. An alternative method is to chisel plough to a depth of 200 mm, then spread the seed using a spinner broadcaster that spins out the seed over the prepared surface.

Flocculation is the use of a flocculating agent to cause fine particles to join together into a floc. At Grassmaster we use the process of flocculation to treat water on a site so that the water is correctly filtered to allow movement of water into waterways without polluting it. Usually, after heavy rain, the sediment basins on sites become muddy with the sediment rising to the top of the basin.
EcoFibre's superior performance capability comes in a user-friendly package for a one-step hydroseeding application. All the advantages of our EcoFibre 100% wood fiber mulch, plus a high strength organic tackifier. Using EcoFibre+Tac ensures a smooth hydroseeding operation.
A one-step, hydraulically-applied, stabilized fiber matrix erosion control system, that's formulated to hold soil in place immediately on application, even during the drying and curing stage.EcoMatrix is designed for use on pads and slopes from flat to a maximum grade of 2.5H : 1V. EcoMatrix is pre-mixed for maximum wet strength.
