After graduating from RMIT, Jenny has worked at both private and acupuncture IVF clinics for over 10 years and through her experience she has developed a special interest in Women's health and fertility and been working with IVF patients for many years. Jenny is still working part time with Monash IVF patients meanwhile running a private clinic in Balwyn treating more general public with various conditions.
Acupuncture is a medical tradition dating back more than 3,000 years and among the oldest healing practices in the world. It is part of an integrated system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Acupuncture is performed by inserting fine sterile needles into acupuncture points located all over the body.
Jenny has further studied into European style auricular therapy and combines the European style of Dr. Paul Nogier (he is known as Father of auriculotherapy) discovery of VAS (Vascular Autonomic Signal) pulse with Chinese medicine auricular therapy. The principle of Auriculotherapy is based on the fact that a point or a zone on the ear corresponds to an organ or a system.
At Jenny Kwon Chinese Medicine Clinic, you'll experience a unique style of acupuncture called "Kiiko Matsumoto Style (KMS) Acupuncture". Kiiko style acupuncture is a highly systematised method of palpation which gives instant feedback to the patient's condition. Kiiko Matsumoto Style addresses the patient's health issues from several levels.
One of common style that jenny practice is the Korean SAAM acupuncture, which is one of the original therapeutic modalities representing traditional Korean medicine with its unique treatment method that differs from China and Japan.
SAAM acupuncture has selected points of tonification and sedation of five shu points that influences each meridian and follows the traditional concepts of Yin-Yang, five elements, Zang fu (viscera and bowels), Qi and meridian.One of the interesting aspects of SAAM acupuncture is considering the meridian as "the pathway of consciousness and emotions".
