Quickly out growing its first store and moving to the current location in 1994. Since its inception Chain Reaction has been a leader in quality, range and service to the Sydney area and beyond. Recently the store has become Australia first Shimano Service Centre and provides the best workshop (including Bike spa) for our customers and their bikes.
We have an open workshop so clients can see our mechanics in action as they complete bike builds and repairs. Our workshop staff have factory training and specific tooling to get even the most intricate work completed correctly. The Staff at Chain Reaction has a combined experience of over 200 years in the bicycle industry, with staff members ranging from recreational riders right through to international and Olympic level.

Bought a brand new bike at Chain Reaction (thousand). 3 weeks later had an minor accident. Brought in for repair and was told they couldn't look at it for 6 weeks. Repair was a simple replacement part. Rung around and was told by others that they had a long delay but would have a look and do their best if simple replacement. Had the bike inspected, part ordered and timeframe for delivery in a short period (days) provided within the hour. Based on attitude alone, not returning. You can tell alot from people/company's when they are in demand.

It is challenging doing business during this Covid period both for Suppliers and Customers. I had a problem with my E Bike and needed service. Andrew and the team at Chain Reaction Cronulla, NSW, Australia fixed my bike overnight at a reasonable cost. This was extra good because all bike shops are flat out and under the pump at the moment.
I needed another bike more suitable for off road trips and was offered some alternatives. I was very impressed by Andrew and the Sales Staff at Chain Reaction, Cronulla they seemed very confident and knowledgeable and gave me the confidence to order an Electric

A well stocked bike shop with knowledgable and helpful staff. The onsite coffee shop adds to quite a nice karma in the place to.
However, the shop can get busy at times and there can be a bit of wait, that's just a consequence of its success but the trick is to avoid obviously busy times, and give yourself plenty of time booking in repairs and service.

Good sales team, customer service and stock levels. Staff were very accommodating and was able to provide a bike quickly which is tough at this current time.
Cons: The attention to detail in the bike build wasn't great, frame protection was stuck on in the wrong spot. The suspension for a large size bike was setup for someone weighing 60kg, for people who arent familiar setting up suspension this could lead to a riding experience not reflective of the bikes capabilities.

I had the cassette come apart on my $4000 bike directly after my first serves. It came apart another 6 times over several months, each time they would aggressively try and blame me even though it would break within a few minutes of riding it and twice it broke before riding it e.g. oiling the chain. Eventually the warranty ran out and I was left with my bike that hadn't worked for 8months. The owner is the rudest customer service person I have had to deal with and the mangers not much better. I took my bike to a giant bike shop and the young kid said it hadn't been put together properly and fixed

Chain Reaction Cronulla is an awesome bike shop with great knowledgeable service and a huge range. We purchased our sons new Kona Process 153 from here and he loves it and the after sales service has been second to none. I also just purchased a Giant Reign from here and I’m loving it and nothing beats hitting the trails with your son. Big thank you to all that dealt with us as the experience has been fantastic.

The owner here has no problem whatsoever stuffing you around in order to get your money. Appears to be a successful business with a good range of bikes, but I was so turned off by the rudeness and attitude of the owner I went elsewhere and was pleased to find a MUCH better experience. Chain Reaction lost my business for 3 reasonably high end e-mountain bikes because of that experience dealing with the owner.

Back in April, 2 friends and I had bought 4 bikes between us, over $3500 worth spent in this store. The owner put on the big sell to us about Giant bikes, how other branded bikes at the same price were inferior because they cut out the middle man. It was all smiles while he took our money.

1 star is even too generous for the business. Went in on Saturday with our 15yr old son to buy him a bike. Worst customer service we've ever experienced and this was the owner serving us. The rudest most obnoxious human being I've ever met and all because we asked him could he please price match. Then he proceeded to utterly degrade and belittle all other bike stores and their workers saying and I quote "they have kids who have after school jobs working for them and if you want your bike put together by a school kid up to you..." when I pointed out to him look " we want to buy the bike but you

I have bought everything from clothing to a bike from this shop over the last 3 years. The service has always been excellent and the staff are beyond helpful. I just got the first service done on my new bike and the mechanic explained everything before the service and ran me through what he had done when finished. You can easily get parking on the street or they have customer parking if your buying a bike and need to be there a while. As a bonus I love going to Cronulla as you can go to the shops, head for a walk along the beach or get a great meal. Thank you for the fantastic service Chain Reaction
