When we opened our first salon back in 1999, we wanted to revolutionise the barbershop landscape. And so, we set out to create a barbershop with old fashioned values but using modern technology and know-how. A place that was customer-focused, where a chap could take the time to relax in the chair and be pampered by a cutter who took their trade seriously and who knew their way around a man's head.

For those guys 'tying the knot', we offer a free consultation prior to the wedding, where we can discuss your style for the big day. We even offer groom and groomsmen a shaving package so they can look their sharpest. If you are looking for a traditional barbershop location for your film shoot, we can bring our barber shop to your set.

I recieved excellent service from hair stylist Natalie, I had a minor issue from a previous haircut and Natalie was. Being new to Sydney it's hard to find a Barber that you're comfortable with let alone not knowing if they'll.

My girlfriend got me a voucher for Christmas after reading the beard trim reviews on Google. I booked in with Maria and I haven't looked back since! Best beard trim I've had in Sydney. Great friendly service, amazing little barbershop. Highly recommend! And if you care about the environment like me they're environmentaly sustainable!

I have been going to Grand Royal Barbers for probably 2 years now. I usually go to the Darlinghurst salon. They have brilliant ideas if you're mid 30s and thinning on the top. Have had my hair cut by Maria, Clem, Nick, and Lisa, and a few more but I must apologise I forget their names. Special shout out to bubbly Lisa who is always up for a warm chat while she cuts your hair!!

Ive had the pleasure of having my hair cut by Maria, Mel and Heather. I have found that all the staff and Maria the Principal, are all very experienced hands in the trade. Calm friendly & relaxed service underpins this, the staple of this business being focused professional service. Attention to detail is always the focus with sometimes the level of detail put into my hair cuts seems almost surreal. These people take the job seriously.
I arrive and have a hair wash, then my cut. If i have time, I love the luxury of having a shave too.

Best beard trim I've ever had. Walked in and they gave me a time slot for the next hour. When I came back in Mel took me into the back and was extremely nice asked me the right question before we started. The hot towels where nice as well and she payed attention to detail even trimmed my head hair a little for free because she wanted to make sure it would be healthy as I'm growing it out. Over all on the expensive end but if you only get a hair cut every so often worth the price. Would recommend to fellow beards men.
