As such we are part of a team of over 10,000 consisting of specialist pathologists (including Dr Richard Abbott), PhD's, scientists, phlebotomists, couriers and support personnel to partner with our referring doctors to provide better patient care.
Services
We are one of Australia's leading providers of diagnostic testing services and specialist diagnostic advice. Our services extend from collection of the specimen from the patient, transporting the specimen to the laboratory, analysis of the specimen, to specialist reporting and interpretation of the results to the referring doctor.
We have an unquestioned commitment to quality in everything we do. We see this as key to our core value of partnering with our referring doctors to better each patient's care. Our demonstrated technical competence is assured through accreditation of our laboratory services by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA).
Core to our DNA is to perpetually seek ways to continuously improve everything we do. We see innovation, research and creativity as key to our ongoing goal of continuous improvement. Our pathologists and scientists make countless scientific contributions to improve the application of laboratory diagnostics.
Abbott Pathology offers a diverse variety of career opportunities ranging from scientific to administrative positions. As part of a National Diagnostics leader, we currently have over 10,000 employees working in locations across South Australia and Australia. When positions become available at Abbott Pathology, they are either advertised on Seek or in the relevant local paper.

This morning at Royal Park old Pt road medical centre while waiting for my blood test , due to covid it is compulsory to wear a mask , there were 2 people not wearing masks but she allowed them in, also the chair doesn't get cleaned between patients and if you don't sign in with the sa gov covid app you sign in on a paper copy and that is the same pen everyone before you used , I made sure I used their sanitiser to wash the chair .

Absolutely NO parking at Mile End collection centre/laboratory. Located on the busy Sir Donald Bradman Drive at Mile End and inside a huge old complex along with 15 to 20 other businesses all crammed in together. Cars are only allowed to park in allocated spaces of which Abbott Pathology have less than a handful. Parking inspectors are constantly checking and even clamping vehicles that don't pay attention to the confusing, worn out, faded signage. Unless you're catching the bus (bus stop is located directly out the front of the building) then do yourself a favour and don't even bother to go there
