I Purchased a twin axle 8x5 drop side trailer from the Erina Variant agent late last year (after a long wait due to covid manufacturing delays) and very happy. The low tare weight provides a very useful legal maximum payload to tow behind a station wagon without requiring brakes. Competitively priced against the local competition and better designed. This trailer is used weekly to haul building equipment and all manner of things over large distances and does it without weighing a ridiculous amount or rattling and banging constantly like every other trailer I have used previously. I recently bought a Variant 2 tonne box trailer and am impressed with the product. It is an absolute dream to tow, doesn’t rattle at all and sits solidly on the road even when empty at motorway speeds.
It’s first job was taking a brick and concrete BBQ structure to the tip which it did with ease, loaded up with around 700kg of bricks and another 200kg of general rubbish on top.
The trailer is well built, has brakes in all 4 wheels and a breakaway system usually only found on trailers with a higher load capacity.
Being a European built trailer, it does require a little patience when ordering
