Winter is exciting! Hot cocoa, warm blankets and backyard fires with mates. But it's also the season of slow morning rises, harsh cold air and decision fatigue. We know how easy it is to pack on the winter pudge (or is it fudge?). This year, we're saying "yes" to the healthy choices! So for the duration of winter, any purchase of an initial exercise physiology appointment will also cover you for your follow up appointment.

That's two appointments, for the price of 1! We know it can be difficult dealing with the stress of an injury without having to add the fear of finding the right treatment. At Sycamore Health, we've taken the pinch out of the penny, with free initial assessments to help determine if physiotherapy is the right treatment for you.

We take a holistic approach to health at Sycamore and that includes caring about the health of our planet. As a small business, we knew we were using a fair amount of resources. Like many other workplaces, our building has lights, air conditioning, computers, a fridge and running water in the toilet and kitchenette.

Physiotherapy
Report
Physiotherapy is all about health and wellbeing regarding your movement. Physiotherapists use a huge variety of techniques in order to improve your mobility. Physiotherapy has a large role in reducing pain as well, as this is potentially one of the greatest preventers of healthy movement.

And did you know, most therapy is conducted using the physiotherapist's hands alone?! Whether that's releases, stretching, or guiding your body through an exercise - their hands say it all!Physiotherapy is so much more than just a really good rub.
Dry Needling
Report
Often that's fine. The contracted muscle relaxes and all is well. Sometimes, though, the muscle develops a tense and tender 'knot', which feels harder than the surrounding muscle and can be painful. That's where dry needling can help. Dry needling involves inserting a fine needle into one of those irritated muscle spots (which are known as myofascial trigger points) to relieve your pain.
