Karlie Grace Johnson has a comprehensive background in dance education, having taught across Melbourne (metro and regional), interstate and overseas at specialised full-time performing arts schools.She began her dance journey at the age of five, learning all facets of dance and performance before moving on to study full-time at Dance Factory in Richmond, where she received a coveted scholarship for two consecutive years.

The Elite program is our Exclusive Stream of training, which provides students with opportunities to further their skills, technique, and performance experience by partaking in an increased amount of classes per week, to eventually equip themselves with the facility required to enter the world of performing arts at a professional level.

If your child is a little one and they seem to show a general enjoyment and interest for dance, music and movement, we usually encourage them to try 'Classical Ballet' to start off with, as ballet is the foundation for all dance genres and where the first basic levels of technique are taught. No, you do not need to be in uniform for your first lesson.

Brilliant Dance School with exceptionally dedicated professionals that truly value and inspire their students. My daughter absolutely loves being part of the KGD family! She enjoys her dance lessons, feels more confident and has made wonderful friendships along the way. As a parent I feel supported and love seeing my little girl do what she loves in such a warm and friendly environment. Our KGD community is a true credit to Miss Karlie and her amazing team. We are in our fifth year at KGD and our three girls couldn't be happier. KGD has inspired their confidence and enabled them to try many aspects of dance. They have made beautiful friendships at the studio, built around a supportive and encouraging culture. The teachers are inspiring and motivating and Karlie is a dedicated and passionate teacher to all her students.

Karlie Grace School of Performing Arts is great for all ages who are aspiring dancers. They offer pretty much every single dance style and have successful competition troupes and solos! The teachers are legit and teach their students what it's like to dance in a professional environment. Miss Karlie is absolutely wonderful. She will help the students with their technique and it is obvious Karlie has a huge passion for dance. My daughter has been dancing at Karlie Grace for nearly 7 years and we've had a wonderful experience thus far. It's not a huge school, so there's plenty of attention to detail and yet it's big enough to offer a wide range of options for most budding performing artists (or just everyday dance lovers). The teachers are FANTASTIC; they are passionate instructors who clearly love teaching dance (and responsibility, commitment, discipline, comraderie and patience) to their students.
