Many students join our dance family from a very young age, and I take my role in guiding and nurturing their developmental journey very seriously. Joining our dance family is more than just signing up for dance classes. While most youngsters taking dance lessons will not go onto a professional dance career, the lessons learnt from dance will stay with them long into their adult lives.
From time management, work ethic, teamwork, personal responsibility and commitment, to the values we hold most important at FNQDA: respect, appreciation, inclusion and persistence. I am so blessed to have an amazing team who equally appreciate the responsibility of inspiring and encouraging the next generation of dancers and supporters.

Services
FNQ Dance Academy has been in operation since 2012 and has grown to be one of the largest dance schools in the region. Our main goal is to allow students the opportunity to experience dance in a nurturing, family orientated centre. Professional, dedicated, well experienced teaching staff that encourage students to reach their full potential, while being supportive and nurturing of their dreams.
These classes do not follow a strict syllabus, but allow students to experience a variety of jazz styles in a relaxed, fun setting with others in their general age grouping. Using top 40 music, the classes work to strengthen kicks, turns, jumps and other jazz elements. Contemporary builds a strong expressive, lyrical and dynamic dancer.
We offer a variety of adult classes to suit every experience level and desire to dance. All classes can be attended casually no need to book in prior or complete enrolment forms. You will sign a register on the day. Please call to confirm class is going ahead on the day if you have not ever participated before.
Eisteddfod/competition work is a great way to build confidence, stage presence, and appreciation for stage work - in addition to being a great (regular) avenue for perfecting technique and 'performing' the great work learnt in regular classes. As an Academy we strongly encourage and support children to competition work, and prepare Troupe work so many children can learn the importance of teamwork along with performance skills.
There is no mandatory set uniform for classwork at FNQ Dance Academy, however the school colours are red & black. There is studio dancewear available for purchase if desired, but this is not compulsory and children can mix and match these studio pieces with their own leotards and tights. Leotard and a skirt.
