I'd probably rather pay extra and go elsewhere next time we hire a campervan - or maybe all camper hire is like this? It wasn't enough to spoil our trip but we had a lot of electrical problems that meant the water pump didn't work much of the time. We managed one cold shower in twelve days and were too afraid to use the toilet given the unreliable water system. The fridge also turned off a number of times when there should have been sufficient charge. As there are no gauges for water or power you cannot tell if there is a fault or the battery or water have simply run out. The van was fine mechanically

I can't recommend that company at all. We hired a vehicle from Camperman in Cairns and drove down to Sydney. The issues started already before we get the car, because they had an delay for about an hour straight away. On the way we had a lot more issues. The fuel indicator didn't worked properly, so we had to stop and fuel up every 200km. The steering was fading pretty hard so we had to go to an workshop to get it fixed. The window on the passenger side fall out of the rails so it had to stay closed (that happened on the 3rd day). The gas on the left cooking spot went of all the time, so just the

Staff and service at pick up was excellent, and they were very helpful. Couldn’t fault the campervan in any way, it was well equipped and had everything we needed for a 2 week trip.
The staff at the drop off in Cairns were also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Camperman Australia, and will definitely be using them again.

We hired our van from Cairns and did a return trip to Airlie Beach. The vehicle was as expected, an older Toyota HiAce but she went like a dream for us the whole trip and was a comfortable ride with all bedding and equipment supplied. We were happy with the service received from Camperman staff and we’re happy with an older vehicle and the reasonable bond of $500.

I have used Camper Van Australia on three seperate occasions now. Their vans are very tidy and reliable, I have never had a break down. That is one reason why I will continue to go back to these guys. The others is their outstanding customer service. Dealing with these guys is hassle free and has always been a pleasure. The price quoted is the price charged, no hidden extras on my credit card. Definitely a 10/10

We had an amazing time in Australie. We hired the camper in Cairns and returned it in Airlie Beach, so perfect to drive along the east coast / great barrier. Traveling with a camper through Australia is easy and relaxed. The camper of Camperman was spotless, well stocked and everything worked perfectly. It was surprisingly simple to drive in Australia. One of the best part of the trip was not having to worry about where to cook, sleep, or keep fresh food!
