Charles took me through the process and actually taught me how to ride properly on one of his training bikes. He then came with me on a test ride to make sure I was OK and I bought the bike that afternoon. His service was like being taught by a family friend. Am coming back to do the refresher course ASAP.

Gold Coast Motorcycle Training - Q-Ride approved courses - Learn to ride with our expert trainer. Here at GCMT I am all about personalised service. I would like to think of us as a small family business that is up to date with all that is going on in the motorcycle world. Also, I am a little bit 'old school' and deal in the world of common sense.
Successfully complete a Q-Ride pre-learner training and assessment course Note: If you live outside a 100km radius of a Q-Ride training centre, you may choose to apply for an exemption from completing the course, however if you are exempt from the course your will need to hold your RE learner licence for longer.
Wear a pair long pants, jeans preferably and closed in shoes. If training in the heat of summer wear a long sleeved shirt which can be worn for slow speed car park exercises. Bring any bike riding gear you may have and I will supply whatever else is needed. For Pre Learner and RE courses I suggest to bring some snacks and a light lunch.

If you are looking at doing your QRIDE Pre learners course and don't have much experience with motorcycling look no further. Our instructor David was very experienced and knowledgeable in both theory and practical through decades of experience. The classes are a lot smaller compared to other providers meaning 1 on 1 assistance is always available if you are having issues with certain concepts of riding.
Honestly cannot thank this business enough with providing me appreciation for safety and technique into motorcycling.

Just converted my existing overseas motorcycle licence to Australian by completing the "unrestricted R Course" with Gold Coast Motorcycle Training.
Charles runs a very efficient and professional training school, is a great communicator and explains every step very clearly.
Large range of well maintained different bikes to suit everyone's tastes and also provide all the gear (jackets, helmets, gloves).
Highly recommend GC Motorcycle Training regardless if you are a first time rider or experienced riders looking for targeted advanced training.

Did my L's with David at Q-ride. David was knowledgable, friendly and most importantly caring in his approach to make sure you understood and learnt to key skills you need to ride safely. In the two day's I completed the course not only did I pick up my competency I have gained an immense amount of confidence to ride a bike safely.

I had previously had a really awful experience at another training place, so was full of dread and fear coming into my motorbike training. However, these guys put my fears to rest! They were so patient and understanding. They worked with small classes, in a beautiful location, and taught the material in a really intuitive, easy-going way, so I ended up really enjoying my experience, and feeling keen to learn more. Would definitely recommend!

100% recommend. I have had very little experience with bikes and manuals, only ever owning an auto car lisence. I usually feel incapable and out of my depth with anything involving a motor. For my first lesson, Charles immediately made me feel at ease. He was professional, patient and clear with instructions. He settled all nerves I had and encouraged me at all times.

Highly recommend. I did both the pre learners and RE and felt I was in safe hands. Charles and David are great instructors and teach you much more than the basics required which I found very reassuring. There were small groups on both occasions which allowed for a more thorough and enjoyable learning experience

Great experience, I took the returning rider course, Charles is a great teacher. I didn’t realise how much I would learn. The one on one training is a great way to learn. The constant communication through intercom made it a quick and efficient way to receive instruction/feedback. I was quite nervous at first but Charles’s method teaches you in a way that get you to start doing the important techniques naturally. I will definitely be back in a few months before I start touring! A+++

Charles really does a very good job of getting you to understand the safe operation of a motor cycle he prides himself on a quality service and really cares about his students, he only runs small classes which means he can ensure you are not left behind.

I went into the pre-learner course with no riding experience and feeling nervous, but by the end of the 2 days I was amazed at myself! Charles is an incredibly patient, knowledgeable and friendly teacher. He gave excellent instruction and spent extra time helping me become confident and competent in each task before moving onto the next. Thanks Charles!
