John Yong Gee was born in Hughenden, Queensland where his immigrant parents ran a local grocery store until moving to Brisbane in 1981. John graduated from dentistry at University of Queensland in 1986. He attends many professional development courses to keep himself up to date with both clinical and personal skills.

John is amazing. If anyone hates going to the dentist it's me. Ive certainly been to some Butchers and had my share of dodgy dentistry. John's calm nature, quick wit, sense of humour and easy going personality enables you to feel comfortable from the minute you arrive. Today was a wisdom tooth extraction and by far the best experience was with Burpengary Dental.

I am a nervous dental patient, and when I was informed I needed a root canal, I ended up flying to Brisbane to see these guys after so many great recommendations. And I was not disappointed!! Rochelle was the dentist who looked after me, and she was extremely professional, guided me through each step she did, conscious that I was in pain and did all that she could to help me!
Not only her, but the entire team were more than happy to help look after me! Will definitely fly back up there for my next appointments - worth the trip for me!!

I was so anxious coming in with nerve pain on my back tooth, I knew it wouldn’t be a good outcome but Rochelle was so patient and explained everything. I ended up having an extraction and it was not as bad as I thought at all. I would highly recommend this dentist and I will continue to go back for anything I need.

John has been our dentist for the past 9 years. On every occasion that we have needed to attend for dental treatment John has provided excellent treatment. He has given options when applicable and has even taken into account financial costs when making a decision. As a patient, you are fully involved in your own dental care. Great Service I was told by a dentist that my daughters wisdoms should come out after seeing theses Awesome dentists for a second opinion I was reassured that that would not be necessary. Would recommend Burpengary Dental 100 times over. John is such an incredible dentist. So caring, so gentle and so talented. Always checking how you are feeling, asking if you are okay and explaining every detail. Wouldn’t want anyone else to look after my teeth. Burpengary Dental also do payment plans, which takes the stress out of everything. Affordable, easy and stress free payment plans. The receptionist ladies are also fabulous, always so kind and helpful, as well as the lovely dental nurses.

MILLION DOLLAR SMILE ..... Have you ever tried sitting in the one place for 7 hours … with your mouth open. I had what turned out to be a very rewarding visit to my dentist last week. I knew I was going to have to spend 7 hours there and Dr John was as keen and enthusiastic as usual when I arrived. It always surprises me when I visit him that there is someone who gets so excited about teeth.

For many years I've been trying track down a dentist who doesn't want to rip you off from the outset. By many, I mean like 30 yrs and since we had kids, even more so. I ALWAYS call up for a quote first due to having had the P taken out of me in the past with additions and add-ons and scare stories. ... And yes, it is 'situation normal' here with Burpengary Dental. First question straight out of the blocks was the old "are you in a heath fund?" Uh? What difference should that make?... Oh, I see, they charge MORE for insured people... the reason the premiums go up and the reason I can't afford insurance

To Virtualgaz, you called up for prices and they gave them to you so they were up front to tell you but you still didn't try them so how can you complain?
I had a great experience at Burpengary Dental. A friend referred me to them. I have a bit of a phobia about going to dentists but everything was explained to me before, during and after my procedure. All the staff are very friendly and the facilities are clean and modern. They even have TVs on the ceiling to watch when in the chair! I'll definitely go back if I need more work done.

Incompetent. Extracted teeth without first xraying. Did not take into consideration personal circumstances. Left part of a tooth in after extraction.
Conducting bridging work and build up on bottom teeth leaving one tooth loose. Told me I would be able to eat without issue after 3 days. It took over 3 months for me to be able to eat solids resulting in chronic anaemia and a massive loss of weight. Ended up with a set of Uppers that are almost useless and without massive gluing will not stay in. When contacted the Dentist was told there was nothing that could be done and there was no offer of any
