Andrew Engineering Specialises in providing the Rail Industry with Rolling Stock Maintenance Solutions. Our impressive suite of products ranges from Workshop Equipment such as Turntables, Bogie Exchange Systems, Lifting Jacks, Bogie Test Stands and Wheel Lathes to Rail Car Servicing including Train Washes, Way Side Measuring Equipment and Traversers.
ARGUS inspection and testing technology. Argus II is a speciality Way Side measurement system designed by Hegenscheidt to capture and supply wheel management data to rolling stock maintainers. Using a combination of Precision Displacement Probes, Laser Measurement Gauges and Eddy Current technology, the system provides critical data around the wear properties of in-service wheelsets.
The Bogie Turntable is an in ground unit. Andrew Engineering offers a full range of powered and unpowered turntables to cover the various needs of client Workshops, Depots and Wheelset Production Lines. The Turntables come in two-way or four-way configurations and can handle cross over loads of up to 45 tonnes.
Unserviceable defects prevent the release of Vehicles exposing Maintainers to vehicle availability issues and Operational Damages. Traditional Deep Pit Systems carry the burden of Expensive Capital Infrastructure Costs and on-going Confined Space Issues. Additionally, connecting and disconnecting the Bogie is an uncomfortable exercise due to the Restrictive Nature of these tables.
Set the primary suspension of a passenger bogie. The Andrew Engineering Bogie Test Stand provides a cost-effective way for Maintainers to load and set the primary suspension of a passenger bogie using the Force Displacement Method. The stand consists of a Heavy Structural Steel Portal Style Frame with Integrated Loading Bay allowing Loading of the Bogies away from the Sensitive Measuring Instruments.
