We are Australia's peak professional body for dietitians specialising in sports nutrition. Our members help active Australians maximise their exercise goals with credible nutrition. The criteria to become an Accredited Sports Dietitian with SDA includes completion of the internationally regarded SDA Sports Nutrition Course (SNC). Demand for this course is high and an application process applies (please see below for more details). Preference to attend will be given to those currently working or volunteering in the field of Sports Nutrition and/or those who are on SDA's career development pathway.
MC'd by SDA Fellow Kerry Leech, leading presenters in the field will unpack the current research in this space to ensure clarity of the evidence. This fully online symposium will deliver an update of the current research and its translation into a collaborative and practical sports science approach to female athlete performance.
The Centre for Advanced Learning and Sports Dietitians Australia (SDA) have partnered to provide the Sports Nutrition Essentials course. This course, developed entirely by Accredited Sports Dietitians, is delivered entirely online, and is open to all dietitians. An understanding of the role of sports nutrition (carbohydrate, protein and fluid) for fuelling and recovery in sport and exercise settings.
Our members provide accurate diet and nutritional information and advice, based on scientific evidence, to promote healthy eating and enhance the health and performance of all active Australians. They'll help you reach your personal best - now and for the rest of your life.
Minimum academic requirements for Accredited Sports Dietitians include a Bachelor of Science degree with post-graduate qualifications in dietetics, as well as further sports nutrition accredited studies and practical experience.Fellowships are awarded to Accredited Sports Dietitians who have achieved markers of excellence in their chosen practice, as well as service to SDA.
