Your catch is gilled, gutted, bled and put in to a salt water ice slurry to ensure customers take home quality eating fish. We fillet your catch and can weigh your fish too if you get the BIG ONE!
Gummy Shark, School Shark, Snapper, Flathead, Morwong, Tasmanian Trumpeter, Knife Jaw, Gernard and Nanagi are some of the fish you can expect to catch. We can include lobster fishing with pots or nets on full day trips. We do trips out to the continental shelf 30km south-south-west of the port and we start feeding the birds, which attracts more and more different types of birds for you to photograph and identify.

Port MacDonnell is located on the South East coast of South Australia, also referred to as The Limestone Coast. The town is known for its extensive rock lobster fleet and the big Southern Bluefin Tuna. Port MacDonnell Fishing Charters was established in 2000 and is the longest operating charter fishing business out of Port MacDonnell.

We had an amazing time chasing barrels with Jason and Tyson! Although we didn't catch any, we did manage to bag out on jelly beans and threw back a couple more for sport! During the day there happened to be drama back on land relating to the skipper. Him and the deck hand did an exceptional job not impeding those issue on us, the customer!
The crew are super nice and know how to entertain and Tyson's song playlist is superb!
The boat is large and comfortable, and they carried all the nessassry gear needed to catch anything we decided to target.

I have been on several charters over the years and found Port MacDonnell Fishing Charters to be one of the best. The guys fished a long hard day and put us on teh fish every time catching a great variety from Tuna, Snapper, Mako Shark, Gummy Shark, Knife Jaw to name a few. Would highly recommend anybody thinking of going to us these guys.
