Of an evening, enjoy a tennis match in the park before watching the sunset with a glass of wine and local seafood cooked on the outdoor BBQs.

We stayed for a week at start of January 2022 and I have to say I was super impressed by the park. Sites were a great size and it was nice to have no one parked behind you (this seems to be the case for most sites) so you never get crowded even though the park was busy. Campers were well behaved and despite some large groups the grounds were almost silent after 9. Sure the amenities could use a little work and at times were a little gruby but there was hot water and flushing toilets so nothing to complain about.
Had some huge downpours but ground dried out very quickly and where we were no issues

This park was much better before new management took over in late 2021.
Before this, the park grounds were kept clean and even though the amenities are old they were kept in reasonable condition. Since its been under new management it has gone downhill very fast.
The smell coming from the creek in the park is like rotten eggs, not pleasant at all.
Overall the park needs vast improvement.
The thing this park has going for it is its proximity to the beach and the abundant wildlife.
DON'T CAMP HERE WHEN IT'S RAINING HEAVILY, you'll be flooded.
We won't be back.

Nice place for family holidays. We were a group of 15 people with 5 powered sites. Reasonably large & flat sites; not much grass but sandy land was good enough. Pretty clean amenities, lots of kids activities, equipped kitchen (freezes, microwave, oven..) and easy & quick access to the clean beach!!

We were camping on a powered site for a few days. The site was great, the facilities however were appalling. There are not nearly enough showers or toilets to accomodate a full campsite. The bathrooms are not cleaned nearly regularly enough, I actually never saw them clean in the 3 days we were there, especially considering the current COVID situation, I felt I was compromising my health every time I stepped into the bathroom. I wasn’t even asked for a proof of vaccination on arrival so assumed I was camping with unvaccinated people who could be spreading COVID. There is also no camp kitchen

Great place to stay. Friendly staff, amazing location. It was so lovely hearing all the kids play whilst having a couple of beers watching the sunset. Loved it

Really nice camping spots with scattered vegetation and a nice bush feel. The kids loved seeing the kangaroos up close and the park was a nice distance from the beach. The pool was nice and there were lots of play equipment for the kids too.
The facilities were quite old and there were no locked doors to the toilets / shower blocks, which was a bit of a privacy concern. It would have been great to have shade over the jumping pillows as well, so then they could be used on a hot day.
The staff were also a bit hit and miss. When booking, the staff member I talked to was extremely helpful, however

The experience was tainted the moment we arrived at the holiday park. The cabins we had booked were being renovated, and we were not notified prior to arrival. The receptionist thought we had been contacted and notified of the changes but we weren’t. It was further frustrating by the fact that we had contacted the park twice in the 2 weeks prior to our booking to finalise bookings with no mention from their end of the changes. We were offered a small discount and the option to stay in cabins that had no beach view and a significant downgrade from the cabins we had booked. It was only after pressure

Our stay at big4 racecourse beach has been lovely despite some issues during checking in and the bitumen works in front of our booked accommodations. Our allergies played up due to their bitumen/road work which was right in front of the accommodation at the time.
Also Tracy and the other younger receptionist were worth mentioning as they were happy to help all time for minor issues (boom gate codes not working), unlike the other receptionist who doesn't seem to enjoy her job and told me whilst booking that "I know osko payment, I used to work in the bank". She was a let down for the reception
