Physiotherapy is covered by most health funds under "Extras" cover. If you do have "Extras" make sure you bring along your card and you will be able to claim on the spot. Then you only end up paying the gap between what your health fund covers and what is charged. If you are unsure if you have "Extras" please check with your insurer to see if you are covered for physiotherapy.

Why attend regular pilates when you can attend clinical pilates run by our expert team of physiotherapists! What's the difference between the two you ask? Regular pilates is usually conducted by a pilates instructor, whereas Clinical Pilates is prescribed and supervised by our Clinical Pilates trained physiotherapists.
At Body Active Physiotherapy, our therapists are trained in dry needling technique. Dry needling is similar to acupuncture in that they use the same type of needle and follow many of the similar points, but the theory and clinical reasoning behind the needle placement is different.
Acupuncture is a complementary medical practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine that entails stimulating certain points on the body with a needle for the purpose of altering the flow of Qi (or energy) along traditional Chinese meridians to alleviate pain or to help treat various health conditions. Our physios use dry needling to treat muscle tissue with the goals of improving your pain, reducing trigger points, and restoring function.

I had a back injury from work and Kayla helped me recover as well as find ways to protect my back in the future. Kayla was kind, friendly, well-informed and listened to me with no judgement. If I ever find myself needing a physio in the future I will definitely head her way again and recommend her to others.

Kang is a fantastic, friendly and a very professional physiotherapist. I I saw him with a Piriformis overload (muscle spasm) at week 35 of my pregnancy. He quickly diagnosed the issue, provided hands on treatment and a couple of home exercises. The pain was significantly reduced after the first treatment and my issue was resolved after 3 sessions. It`s been a great experience and I will definitely see Kang again if in need of a physio as well as highly recommend him to anyone.

Kang ensured my first physio appointment and all follow ups were extremely comfortable. He assisted me with lower back/hip and neck pain, and with my take-home exercises and tension releases during the sessions, I was quickly relieved of pain and tightness. I couldn’t recommend Kang highly enough. He made every visit to the physio an exciting one, regardless of the pain. Thank you again!
