Baltimore Aircoil (Aust) Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Baltimore Aircoil Company, the worldwide manufacturer and marketer of cooling towers, closed circuit coolers, evaporative condensers, hybrid wet/dry and ice thermal storage products that conserve resources and respect the environment.

Baltimore Aircoil's Australian manufacturing facilities are located on the Central Coast of NSW in the suburb Somersby. B.A.C. operates from a modern 16,000m head office and manufacturing plant.

Open cooling towers are a proven cost-effective method of cooling condenser water loops and industrial processes. Open cooling towers discharge heat from water-cooled systems into the atmosphere. The hot process water is distributed over a fill pack (heat transfer media) to interface with air blown by a fan through the cooling tower.
Closed circuit cooling towers use a clean, closed loop in a highly efficient evaporative heat transfer process. Closed circuit cooling towers or fluid coolers operate just like the open type, but dissipate the process fluid heat load into the ambient air via a heat exchange coil. An external circuit, in which spray water circulates over the coil and mixes with the outside air.
