Services
We at Heathmont Animal Hospital are a team that is dedicated to outstanding service to both animals and their owners. We treat all small animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, and an assortment of small exotic pets. Veterinary Science is constantly improving, and we have a strong commitment to continuing education for both vets and nurses.
Serious diseases that can be easily vaccinated against cause unnecessary misery and distress in both pets and owners, and can be fatal or cause serious ongoing medical complications. Unfortunately, many preventable diseases are still seen commonly in veterinary practice. We recommend following a vaccination schedule laid out by your veterinarian to best protect your pet!

We have only just started coming here but I can't recommend them enough, 3 visits in 2 weeks very reasonably priced even for surgery and the care that is given is just amazing best Vet we have ever used. To the Vets and nurses especially Jo thank you for the awesome job that you all do. Tiny and Zena say thank you. 12/10 guys

When my dog was only 7 y/o, the vet was able to detect early signs of arthritis and prescribed meds that would prevent and reduce further deformation and arthirtic pain as my dog aged. I've watch my brother-in-law's police dog suffer in agony as he went through the process of aging with dibilitating arthritis . Salute to Heatmont vet, my dog didn't have to go through that process. Sadly I had him euthanised last week. He was 12 y/o. The vet suspected he had cancer as both legs were swollen but not from arthritis. He also had a large mass about the size of 2 tennis balls right side of his abdomen

Took my 3.5 yr old energetic healthy mini lop ear bunny here (19Jan2021) for his yearly vaccination, he died 7 hours after.
When we arrived at the vet, Henrik (my bunny) was given an examination and I was told he was healthy and that his front teeth were slightly uneven and might need to be ground down in future.
After the vaccination Hendrik didn't leave his carrier when we got him home, he groomed himself and left a small patch of yellow sticky saliva on his fur, started swelling at 4 hours after the injection but tried to eat so I thought he would be ok from reading online information saying

Our dear 11 year old Milly cat had an operation to remove a blockage in her intestine recently and Vet Katie and everyone at the hospital were nothing short of awesome. We were terribly worried about Milly's condition as she had been very sick but the excellent care, friendly, warm and comforting people put our minds at ease from the first appt onwards. Thank you so much Katie and all concerned. To have our little Milly back home and thriving has brought us so much joy. Our sincere, heartfelt gratitude to you all. Dale Greenwood and Wendy ❤️😊

I have been taking my furry family to Heathmont Animal Hospital for almost 20 years. Peter and the team of vets and nurses have cared for my animals incredibly well and have been compassionate in the tough times we go through, when ‘that time comes’. I have recommended many friends to them, and will continue to do so!

They took good care of my furbabies and the cost was quite affordable. The staff are friendly and supportive. The Vets are great, they give you their time and attention, treat you and your furbabies with care, not like another rush to get to the cash register.
There's also support for pets of people experiencing homelessness, which is very kind.

These people are amazing.. I brought my baby chihuahua in a few days ago.. We had a small medical scare so we rushed him down to the vet.. The lovely ladies at the Heathmont Animal Hospital checked him out for free.. I have always brought my pets there, and I always will.. They are so friendly as well..
