Meet the latest addition to the Spaceships Australia fleet: Beta 4-berth (rooftop camping). This is the only Spaceship campervan in Australia that can seat and sleep 4 people. Perfect for travelling with friends or just have more space when it's just the 2 of you. Our rooftop tents feature a patented gas strut-assisted opening mechanism, making set up incredibly fast and easy - less than 30 seconds, and nearly as quick to collapse back down.

The Spaceships Beta 2S (premium) campervan is what you're looking for. It is the perfect campervan for up to 2 travellers. The campervans are alright. It's definitely worth the price. But BE AWARE of making mistakes when signing up to linkt for toll payment. We made one tiny mistake (put in NSW when the car was registered in QLD) in signing the car up for toll payments so they didn't go through. Spaceships charged 30$ for EACH toll road passed. While it was our mistake, it is way too easy to get charged upwards of 200$ for a tiny mistake. I give a bad review because I see this as an excessive charge (similar to RyanAir). 30$ for processing the bulk would have been fair.

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Spaceships Rentals in Sydney.
After hiring cars previously and being put off by many companies due to poor reviews, I decided to take the plunge and pick Spaceships (from the many good reviews and recommendations in Irish Around Sydney Facebook Page)
As someone who worries (a lot!) I was so reluctant to hiring a vehicle, you hear horror stories from everywhere. I can't emphasise enough how amazing Spaceships Sydney are.
From picking up, to extending times, to drop off, the team are fantastic. The vehicle was perfect from start to finish & never skipped

Picked up in Sydney, car was clean and fully functioning. Definelty worth getting the table and chairs, don't know what we would have done without it. There were a few gas canisters for the gas cookers. Enough cutlery for 4 people. Added bonus with spaceships there's the read awning so you can extend the bed out the back, making the inside way more roomier and the awnings has vents for added breeze and comfort.

My girlfriend and I took the Beta2S campervan for 2.5 months period.
The vehicle was well organized and clean.
We got an amazing service and the stuff were incredibly responsive.
Toward the end of our trip, we had a mechanic problem. We called the customer service and side road assistance was sent to us immediately.
Thank you Spaceships for an amazing experience, we will be back!

If it would be possible, I gave more than 5 stars. We booked the camper van originally for 3 weeks and extended it to 4. The team behind the scene is absolutely brilliant and bends over backwards to help you. From extending the hire, assisting fixing the fridge to helping with a flat tire the team has your back and makes the whole experience seamless. The car itself had all the luxury and comfort you need. I would definitely add to your hire the camping chairs, table, solar shower, and mosquito window net. Trust me it is totally worth it.

Had the best time last week with Spaceships Rentals Australia! Picked up our awesome campervan on Tuesday early morning out of office hours. This was no problem at all. The instructions were easy to follow and in no time we were on our way with our Time Machine (which was really the name of our spaceship vehicle!). Driving up the coast was so much fun. The camper was easy to drive (automatic!) and had everything you wish for when you go camping. In no time we had the special cover up on the back to get some fresh air at night (special tent feeling with even a possibility to zip the window open

We took out 'Start Dust' (the name of our rental Alpha) for 5 days to Port Stephen - it's our first campervan trip ever.
Our first impression, when we picked up the vehicle was that the van is really old, in fact it has around 540,000 kms on it, an oldest vehicle we had ever driven! However, it wasn't skip a beat through out the trip - totally reliable like a trusty old dog :)
The Alpha has a very basic living set-up, all made by plywood and metal frames but it worked extremely well for us. The bed is surprisingly comfortable, the tent design is brilliant with lots of air flow during the night

What a wonderful road trip. Everything was well done. From our pick up to drop off. Spaceship Rentals are helpful, on call and very patient. The car was well equipped and ran well. No essentials were missing, this was my first Aussie road trip and we both had such a wonderful time. Thank you thank you.
